Kayunga woman MP Aidah Nantaba is now motivated by what the president said last Thursday during CEC vetting at Entebbe state house, while vetting the NRM CEC contestants.
Museveni told Moses Karangwa, the NRM chairman for Kayunga district, point blank that his land grabbing claims in Bugerere had reached his office.
The president rebuked Karangwa and revealed to him how he had put the complainants in touch with general Proscovia Nalweyiso.
The president also informed the meeting how his former minister Aidah Nantaba was the first one to report to him about land grabbing operations in Kayunga. Nantaba has always spoken against Moses Karangwa.
The president’s statements at the CEC meeting have motivated Nantaba who now says that the people of Kayunga feel energized to keep standing up. She says they won’t stop complaining against Karangwa because they have a right to defend their land.
“The president’s move to deploy a senior person like general Nalweyiso to investigate has given us hope and its now clear that we are not alone.” She told media reporters over the weekend.
“We thank the president for using that CEC meeting to further publicize our cause against land grabbing in Kayunga. We are prepared to respond to the president’s good will by fighting even harder because this Karangwa impunity has to be stopped or else that man will stop at nothing.
We have to stop him ourselves by continuing to sensitize our people and making noise about his actions or else the whole of Kayunga will soon be up on sale,” said Nantaba in her media interface.
She also promised to release a list of Karangwa enablers within Kayunga and outside of the district.
