Rtd General Moses Ali a king maker from the West Nile district of Adjumani is dominating the talk in the news after he returned his NRM nomination forms to the secretariat to be fully nominated.
Unlike when he picked the forms over a week ago, the 86-year old 3rd Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of government business in parliament today wasn’t able to talk, too sick to walk and was instead nominated from his car ceremoniously by the NRM Electoral Commission boss Dr. Tanga Odoi.
Moses Ali currently faces old age and ill health, he rarely makes public appearances but the few he makes show a very tired and sick old man who would be at home concentrating on his health not the too demanding politics but he insists his people of his Adjumani West Constituency still need him as their MP.
There have been calls for new blood in Uganda’s politics but the young one’s are branded hooligans, myopic, chaotic and have been swayed away from politics due to it’s current commercial nature where without a serious financial muscle, one can’t win even a lowest position.
This current term alone, Moses Ali has been seen struggling for his health, he one collapsed in parliament and reports show he can’t sit in a drive from Kampala to Adjumani, his handlers have to find him a place to sleep like for two or three hours before he continues with the journey.
