A secondary school teacher in Lira has resigned after winning a whopping 300 million from fixed games betting.
Anthony, who has been a teacher in one of the top schools within Lira city revealed how he took the risk after reading so many successful stories of people winning a lot of money from fixed games.
“I used to read so many stories and successful testimonials of how people used to win millions from fixed games that were provided by Uganda bettors association, after doing my own research, I contacted them and made payments for fixed games. After payment, I didn’t want to do mistakes, I asked them to stake for me, I sent them my bank details and the following day, they contacted me and told me that the ticket had won. So they asked me to confirm the bank details once more, which I did, ” he narrated.
“They told me they were deducting 15% of my winnings, I told them to go on but all this, my heart wasn’t believing, I expected them to start giving me stories and maybe asking for more money but it didn’t happen. The following day, they asked me to confirm the deposit! I rushed to the bank and checked. I was the happiest man and everyone in the banking hole was shocked to see me screaming,”
Anthony later revealed that he is no longer going to continue as a teacher but rather, sit down and invest his money.
“I can’t continue betting, I don’t bet, I was pushed to this due to my situation and I don’t want to be greedy now, this is enough! I’m no longer going to continue with my profession, it’s been a rough one but finally, I am saying bye to it. I have to think and invest wisely,” he said.
