“It is unusual that she is not at work and no one knows her whereabouts that is what prompted the search that led to the discovery”-one of her colleagues told the media, “unfortunately she was found dead in her house.”
Police said her house girl got concerned when she failed to wake up at 10am and called some of her friends. It’s Rita’s 7-year-old baby who notified the house girl that mother was unresponsive according to police. Her body has been taken to Umash Funeral Home this evening at 5pm.
Her employer, the Nation Media Group that owns NTV Kenya with extensions in Uganda with Monitor, NTV Uganda, Spark TV, KFM and other media enterprises in Uganda released a statement few minutes ago about her demise saying Rita was a dedicated and experienced media professional.
