A famous African president has died after a long battle with sickness. African is mourning the passing of President Hage G. Geingob who had ruled the country since March 21 2015 until his death.

In a statement released by the presidency ministry on Twitter, the president died today Sunday 4 February 2024 at around 00h04 at Lady Pohamba Hospital where he was receiving medical treatment from his medical team. At his side, was his dear wife Madame Monica Geingos and his children.
“It is with utmost sadness and regret that I inform you that our beloved Dr. Hage G. Geingob, the President of the Republic of Namibia has passed on today, Sunday 4 February 2024 at around 00h04 at Lady Pohamba Hospital where he was receiving medical treatment from his medical team. Hage Gottfried Geingob served as the third president of Namibia but prior to his presidency, he served as the first prime minister of Namibia between 1990 to 2002, he served as prime minister again between 2012 to 2015, he also served as Namibia’s minister of trade between 2008 to 2012.
