The ministry of health was on Sunday dealt a huge blow after two of it’s top employees died this past Sunday. One died in a motor accident in Bweyale along the Kampala-Gulu highway while another was murdered in Masindi.
The deceased are Dr James Eyul who was serving as the aviation/airport health boss at Entebbe International Airport while the other is Dr Jino Abiriga who was serving as the District Health boss for Masindi district.

Dr Jino Abiriga was murdered on Saturday and his lifeless body was found lying outside his home. Facts so far gathered by police indicate that on Saturday, the victim left his home in the morning to attend a friend’s wedding. After the wedding, his driver dropped him back at his home at around 9pm. And at round 10pm, he and his wife, Cherotic went to sleep in their double roomed house. Their Children and dependently who included; Aseru Angera aged 17 (daughter to the deceased), Cherotic Maureen, aged 14 (step daughter), Cheprotich Keneth, aged 11 (Step son, Afakoru Jackline aged 12 (Niece) and Arinaitwe Desire aged 8 (daughter to the deceased’s friend) also went to sleep in their separate unit which are enclosed in a fence.
The victim according to his wife was called to go and do an operation on a patient and never returned and according to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, his lifeless body was found with a deep cut on the neck, multiple cuts on the head just 50 meters away from his home. Police has since detained his wife and other suspects to help in the investigations.
