We today morning wrote an article where parliament trashed FDC’s burial program for the late veteran politician Cecilia Ogwal Barbara Atim since she belonged to the party and was in parliament on the blue ticket. According to the FDC they released the program in consultation with the deceased’s family.

While trashing the program and urging the public not to consider FDC’s burial program posted on their social media handles, Parliament’s director of Communications Chris Obore posted;
“The burial of the late Hon Cecilia Ogwal is the responsibility of parliament not the FDC party. Please disregard the purported burial program released by the FDC on it’s social media platforms. The Speaker of Parliament together with the family, will release the funeral arrangements. We urge the FDC to observe the bare minimum of respect and decency and not to vulgarize the final journey of the hugely respected hon Cecilia.
Now Speaker Anita Among has released the burial program of the fallen veteran politician. According to the program seen by this publication, on 21st January, the body will arrive at Entebbe Airport aboard Fly Emirates from India and will be received by the speaker of parliament herself. It will depart for Mulago hospital and thereafter to A plus funeral home.
On Monday 22nd January, the body will depart A plus funeral home and will be taken to parliament to parliament at 9:00am for viewing and later that day in the after, a special sitting will be convened to pay tribute to the late Cecilia Ogwal. After parliament, the body will be taken to her Bugoloobi, Kampala home for a vigil.
Tuesday 23rd January, the body will depart Bugoloobi and taken to All Saints Church Nakasero for a funeral service at 9:00am and there after it will depart for Dokolo via Soroti for a vigil at Adok sub-county in Dokolo district.
Wednesday 24th January, the body will depart for a joint council sitting at Dokolo district headquarters from 9:00am to 2pm and thereafter it will proceed to Lira city for a vigil.
On Thursday 25th January 2024, the body will depart her Lira residence for a church service at St Augustine Cathedral, Bar Ogole at 9am and thereafter leaves for St. Paul Church, Alito Sub-deaconry, Kole district for a church service at 3:00p and thereafter proceed to her home in Dog Gudu Cell, Alito Town Council in Kole district for the vigil.
Friday 26th January, Church Service at her home in Alito Town Council and viewing the body and on 27th Saturday burial program will start at exactly 9:00am.
