Led by Ntale Namuguzi of the Nasser-Nkrumah side who has been handling all the printing jobs for Mpuuga schools and businesses both in Kampala and Masaka, supporters of fired leader of opposition have requested speaker Anita Among to allow the fired and demoted Nyendo-Mukungwe legislator to stay with his long convoy so that he doesn’t feel humiliated.
Mpuuga was fired last week and replaced with Joel Ssenyonyi Besekezi as leader of opposition in parliament but his knifing has caused endless debates as his supporters led by his personal assistant Joseph Kasirye of Kirimya-Bisanje, have put up a fight.

The Bisanje man says that by knifing Mpuuga, Bobi Wine has castrated the struggle for change. The angry supporters have on their whatsApp groups asked Mpuuga not to allow to be intimidated by the Kamwokya gang but to instead remain a big man in the politics of Uganda.
Some have advised him to accept Anita Among’s offer to keep his convoy as Parliament buys a new one for Joel Ssenyonyi who the speaker is determined to comprise with goodies and pomp like they did for honorable Mathias.
The fired LoP is prepared to continue living large because he has even put in place his own law firm called Mpuuga & Co Advocates which is managed by a vocal journalist turned lawyer and University lecturer Suleiman Kareire who used to work for observer newspaper.
The supporters want Mpuuga to be allowed to stay with his convoy in order to keep his political enemies like supporters of sexy Masaka lord councilor Alice Nvannungi, Mayor Flora Namayanja and Babirye Kabanda cowed. Muwanga Kivumbi’s supporters like Gorette Namuga have also sharply fallen out with Mpuuga who also doesn’t see eye to eye with Betty Nambooze of Mukono.
The supporters say that Mpuuga’s enemies can even harm him if he is not allowed to keep his police convoy for protection. The supporters want parliament to keep looking after Mpuuga like they do for former speakers of Parliament. The supporters are also organizing a big home coming procession for Mpuuga to show Bobi Wine that the fired LoP remains a threat and can cause political trouble if he isn’t handled with care.
Hundreds of Boda Bodas who have already been given fuel by Mpuuga’s supporters inside NRM will line up the whole of Kampala Masaka Road and paralyze business in a long convoy in order to send a message to Bobi Wine that Mpuuga is now a political giant who can destroy the whole NUP politics if Kamwokya doesn’t treat him well in the runner up to 2026.
