JUST IN: Top Museveni Minister Shot At In Hoima District

In the news this afternoon, police and the army are pursuing three private security guards who shot at minister Sam Mayanja and his team who had gone to Rwobunyonyi village, Buraru parish in Kyabigambire sub-county in Hoima district to resolve a land dispute.

Junior Minister for lands Sam Mayanja was shocked to his dismay when guards deployed by Fred Mugamba to keep away residents off land which has been contested for some time now.

According to the affected residents, they claim Mugamba has ben keeping them away from his land and has been destroying their food and property and had called on Minister Sam Mayanja to help them seek justice and reign over Mugamba who is determined to make them landless.

Mnister ordered the arrest of the private guards who shot at him citing that H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ordered the removal of all private guards from private and it’s just a few individuals who are still using them to scare away aggrieved residents.

There’s rampant land wrangles in areas of Bunyoro but so much in Buganda, this has left several and majority landless as rich men and women use their money, courts of law, police and the army to steal people’s land.
