KATAKWI: Although its two years left for the campaigns to start in Uganda, Ngariam county in Katakwi district is in hot gear already.
The county is currently represented by Peter Ogwang the state minister for education and Sports and currently at the centre of competition between Minister Ogwang and Dan Mulalu who president Museveni’s private secretary in charge of mobilisation.
Since last year, Mulalu has been massively distributing most of the items that the electorate demand including seeds, repairing of hundreds of broken boreholes, paying fees for the most vulnerable children, installing lights in most of the health centers in the district.

This past Sunday, Mulalu delivered over 100 iron sheets to Apeuru Aodot church of Uganda under his Kazi Ni Kazi foundation. The unroofed church had forced over 600 believers to pray in an open place for the last five years.
Speaking to this website Mulalu says his motto is people of Ngariam first.
“People of Ngariam should be in position to access government projects at liberty, It’s about service delivery to the people, “Mulalu says
Meanwhile minister Ogwang has also been dishing money to saving groups in the county.
Rating the performance of the two bulls, Moses Okiror from Getom in Ngariam county said they have already decided whom to vote come 2026.
“All these people are good but to me Mulalu should also go and represent us and we see whether he will continue with his current hardworking”-Okiror says
Betty Akeriaut said many people are likely to follow Dan Mulalu because he is being honest.
“Dan Mulalu when he has made a promise it will not take a month without fulfilling which is so good”-Akeriaut says.
