President Museveni has walked out self isolation at Nakasero state lodge where he had been for the last 11 days. This is after his latest Covid-19 tests turned negative after testing positive all through last week.
Museveni who tested positive on the day he delivered the State of the Nation address on 08th this month at Kololo Ceremonial grounds. his wife tested negative. It remains a question of how the president who has been following all the procedures got Covid-19 since no one gets nearer him without testing, be it visitors, ministers or members of parliament.

Despite himself testing positive and wife testing negative, ministry of health never revealed any contact tracing for the president and joining dots on how the big man got sick.
During his time in Isolation, president Museveni briefly delegated his state duties to prime minister Robinah Nabbanja for only two days, he missed physical presence during the budget reading at Kololo and instead Vice president inspected the parades and he later addressed parliament virtually.
Museveni also missed joining the African presidents who went to Ukraine (Kyiv) and Russia (St Petersburg) to meet president Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin for Peace talks aimed at extinguishing the war in Ukraine that has dragged on for almost one and half years. The president instead delegated ex-premier Dr Ruhakana Rugunda to represent him.
