President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has tested positive for Covid-19 according to his personal doctor also Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Dr. Diana Atwiine.
Atwiine however says the president is in robust health despite testing positive.
Ministers and Members of parliament have always tested for Covid-19 before coming close to president Museveni and the president himself had never dropped his mask even when Covid-19 reduced in Uganda almost two years ago.
However, it was revealed to parliament last week by Speaker of parliament Anita Among that some ministers had tested positive for Covid-19 and were not readily available to react to queries by members of parliament from their constituencies.

While delivering the state of the nation address, president Museveni revealed that he was a suspected Covid-19 patient after one of the three covid-19 tests turned out positive and it’s the reason he was driven in a separate car not together with his wife Janet.
The president also didn’t have a photo moment with the leadership of parliament as it’s been the norm when he delivers the state of the nation address.
Museveni, his wife and their entire family were vaccinated against Covid-19 and also received booster jabs.
