Sad news coming through indicate that a UPDF officer has shot dead Museveni’s state minister for Defense and also former state minister for Labour Charles Okello Engola in areas of Kyanja a Kampala suburb.
Residents heard several gunshots for almost 5 minutes but it was later revealed that it the minister was shot by his body guard who also shot himself dead.
It’s not yet clear what prompted the UPDF guard to kill his boss.
the news was first confirmed by former Kawempe North legislator Latif Ssebagala who confirmed that his neighbor Charles Okello Engola has been killed.

Confirming to parliament this morning in her opening remarks, speaker Anita Among told legislators that the minister has been shot dead and later the MPs stood up for a moment of silence.
