Over the weekend, we reported via these very pages how city Lawyer Male Mabirizi had been released from prison where he had been kept for 18 months since last year after he was sentenced by Justice Musa Sekaana over contempt of court.
Upon his release, he ran to court to file over 100 cases where he was accusing Luzira prison bosses over human rights violations.
One of them (prison officer) told me there are no human rights in court. Then i have a problem with fair hearing rights. They don’t seem to know that these prisoners need to be heard in court.”-Mabirizi told journalists at a press briefing.
He further alleged that there were cases of homosexuality in prison as sexually starved prisoners resort to engaging in homosexuality.
Now after being freed from jail, Mabirizi is back to court in full swing with many cases including the one he was handling before being taken to prison. He was in court accusing pastor Bujingo of engaging in a second customary marriage with Suzan Makula before dissolving his other church marriage with wife Teddy Bujingo though the Director of Public Prosecutions had taken over the case from him.

The flamboyant lawyer was at Mengo court today over cases where he dragged ministry of internal affairs and ministry of works demanding access to NUP principal Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s Passport and Driving licence to ascertain his true age where he challenges him on matters of honesty.
Mabirizi in the months preceding to the 2021 general elections vowed to block Bobi Wine from appearing on the ballot papers and dragged to court over his academic papers where he claimed the NUP boss was older than he is by two years which Bobi Wine clearly explained but the city lawyer seems not ready to let him be.
