It all started with jokes gone wrong by the first son Muhoozi Keinerugaba when he threatened to capture Nairobi in two weeks something that didn’t go well with Kenyans who insisted Museveni should tame his wild son.
The commander in chief acted swiftly, invited his son, sat him down and gifted him with another army rank of full General equivalent to his. Museveni also dropped his son as the Commander Land Forces and replaced him with Maj Gen now Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga who is currently heading the Operation Shujja in the jungles of DR Congo.
The move to promote his son by Museveni elicited mixed reactions with several claiming that the president is preparing his son for the top job in the land because he has made his interests clear of picking up from his father.
According to Bobi Wine, the plan is to retire Muhoozi soon from the army and prepare him for coronation.
After yesterday's thoughtless tweets and threats against Kenya, Museveni has rewarded his brutal son with a fresh gift: The rank of full General! He will soon be "retired" as he awaits coronation as head of our country. All people who wish Uganda well must stop being indifferent! pic.twitter.com/aV6WNg7tQg
