Deputy Speaker Anita Among who is in the US alongside other high profile leaders from Uganda to check on the Speaker of parliament who was flown to out of the country early month has updated the country on the health status of her boss.
Since the team that comprised of Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Deputy Speaker Anita Among, Norbert Mao flew to Seattle, the country had never been told how the Speaker is doing health-wise following death rumors that rocked social media few days ago.
After a brief update given by the Democratic Party President Norbert Mao who asked Ugandans to pray for the very sick speaker and also respect his privacy, Anita Among’s update is just official but not different from that of Mao.
“Together with close friends; His Lordship Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Hon.Nobert Mao and Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng; I have visited Rt Hon Speaker Jacob Oulanyah at his Hospital Bed in Seattle. He is receiving and responding to treatment under the close attention of his Doctors”- Tweeted Among
Among has further asked Ugandans to keep him in their prayers and also urged the public to respect his privacy and that of his immediate family. However, reports suggest Oulanyah has had several operations and details about the strange disease he’s suffering from remains scanty.
Let us keep him in prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. I urge the public to respect his privacy and that of the family.
