There’s brewing panic and tension in the National Unity Platform camp in parliament this afternoon as a section of MPs is mooting a motion to remove Mityana municipality legislator Francis Zaake Butebi as commissioner of parliament.
According to sources privy to this matter, Gulu West (Bardege-Layibi) division legislator Ojara Martin Mapenduzi is set to move the motion this afternoon on the request of Deputy Speaker Anita Among. Mapenduzi was nominated by NUP to head the Local Govt’s Accounts Committee.

Sources further indicate the on the order paper which is targeting Zaake for attacking Deputy Speaker Anita Among on his Twitter last Wednesday is based on Rule 110 of the parliament rules of procedure and section 5 of the Administration of parliament act which provide for the removal of a commissioner.
