The country and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni have been thrown into mourning long serving state house aide Hope Kivengere who died today.
According to senior press secretary to president Linda Nabusayi Wamboka, Ms Hope kivengere who served as Museveni’s press secretary from 1986 to 2001 died today at Nakasero hospital in the capital Kampala.

Before her death, Hope Kivengere served on the Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA) on the committee of elders, she also between 2016 and 2017 worked with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and on peace missions under African Union in both Somalia and Sudan
