Dr Kiiza has today revealed that the National Unity Platform (NUP) boss Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine sent him a message regarding his new formation People’s Front for Transition (TPF)
Besigye together with other opposition leaders launched a political movement at the JEEMA offices in Kampala but there were reactions over the absence of the leading opposition party in parliament NUP.
Though no reason had been given as to why National Unity Platform snubbed the event, inside sources reveal that the Kamwokya based group is yet to believe the new formation won’t just diminish and suffer still birth like the previous ones with Besigye at the helm.
According to Dr Kizza Besigye, the message that Bobi Wine sent him was to welcome him back from the launch of the People’s Front for Transition and also expressed concern over the continued attacks on those in the new formation mainly on social media.
The four time presidential candidate who has been running his Katonga road based People’s Government was elected chairman and Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago his vice-chairman.
The absence of NUP is still a big question until the Kamwokya based opposition party issues a statement with answers to the endless questions.
Would Bobi Wine’s message to Besigye be a signal to the affirmative, we shall keep you posted as events unfold.
