The Uganda Industrial Research Institute has signed an MoU with the Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB).
Speaking at the signing ceremony, UIRI Executive Director, Prof. Charles Kwesiga said that the UIRI–UBTEB collaboration is aimed at improving the quality and competencies of TVET graduates.

Prof. Kwesiga added that the partnership is in line with the objectives of UIRI’s Machining, Manufacturing and Skills Development Center in Namanve which will provide a platform for apprenticeship for technicians and engineers.
This MOU is crucial in the fulfillment of the Government priorities in the NDPIII and TVET Policy in regard to the involvement of the World of Work in TVET Delivery and Assessment.
