Information reaching our news desk indicate that two legislators belonging to Bobi wine’s National Unity platform (NUP) have been summoned to appear before Masaka police over the spate of killings in Masaka dubbed the ‘bijambiya’.

In two separate letters shared by the NUP party principal Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine via his social media handles, Mr. Paul Kato Tumuhimbise for the Criminal Investigations Department boss in letters through the Speaker of parliament has summoned Kawempe North legislator Muhammad Ssegirinya famously known as Mr. Updates and Makindye West Legislator Allan Ssewanyana to answer questions relating them to the spate of killings in Masaka.

Few days ago, the Minister of ICT and National Guidance Dr Chris Baryomunsi at Uganda Media Centre revealed that the Masaka killings are connected to opposition politicians though he didn’t categorically name them concurring with President Museveni’s position on the Masaka killings that it’s connected to politicians.

Over a month now, there has been a spate of killings in the greater Masaka region, several have left nursing wounds while 26 have already died prompting security to be beefed up in the area to curb the Masaka massacres.

According to Bobi Wine, since the minister Baryomunsi pointed at opposition, it had already been predicted any of them from the opposition would be implicated and is not surprised that his own party members have been named

“Countrywomen and men, As predicted, the Museveni regime has actualised their plan of implicating NUP leaders in the ongoing spate of murders in Greater Masaka. When Chris Baryomunsi said this last week, it looked like a joke. But as we now know, anything is possible in Uganda.”- tweeted Bobi Wine

This is a developing story; we shall keep our tabs on it to update you on how events will unfold since the matter of the bijambiya has taken a new twist implicating politicians.

Keep it here………
