Several opposition presidential candidates of the 2021 general elections have convened an exclusive meeting to discuss the way forward on the police brutality and the arrest of candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi wine.
This development has been revealed by Democratic Party presidential candidate Norbert Mao who says the current situation as the #FreeBobiwine protests spread to several parts of the country have turned lethal and several have lost lives.
FIRST THINGS FIRST! Let’s stop the violence and bloodshed. The NUP Presidential Candidate must be freed immediately….

Through his Social media handles, Mao says the lives of innocent civilians are more important than an empty ritual purporting to be an election. We have to engage with EVERYBODY to restore sanity in our country. Let us come together to break the cycle of violence in our country.
The meeting comes at a time when Bobi wine is still detained at Nalufenya torture chambers following his brutal arrest in Luuka where he was set to speak to his supporters.
Several candidates like Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Henry Tumukunde Kakurugu, Norbert Mao and Gen Mugisha Muntu have suspended their campaigns and there’re calls indicating that they may resort to fronting a single candidate against Tibuhaburwa or boycott the elections because of the brutality and double standards of the Electoral commission and security agencies.
