Government through the ministry of health has considered easing the lockdown especially on businesses that had remained closed ever since Museveni started lifting the lockdown which was enforced in March this year.
President Museveni announced a countrywide lockdown where several businesses were closed and workers told to go home, night curfew was also put in place, places of worship were also closed but have since been opened and curfew extended to between 09pm to 5:30am.
After thorough analysis, the minister of health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero has this evening announced more developments where mass gatherings for prayers, political rallies, meetings and weddings shall not exceed 200 persons from the 70 people that had already been allowed.
Also eased were cinemas, gyms, massage parlors and mobile markets to be effective 14.11.2020. Casinos and gaming outlets shall also resume operations after fulfilling conditions included in the SOPs and hours of operation will be restricted to 6:30am to 7:00pm.
