Today is a busy day for the Uganda police force and the Electoral commission as nomination of presidential aspirants gets to day two. As the EC were waiting for the National Unity Platform aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi wine, the police instead delivered FDC’s Patrick Oboi Amuriat who was violently arrested as he tried to access the party headquarters.
Amuriat was arrested from Najjanankumbi where he had gone to make final arrangements for his nominations, unfortunately POA was arrested like a chicken from his V8 Landcruiser and amidst the struggle, his shoes fell off and police delivered him to Kyambogo without people to second and nominate him. He was delivered without any document and without the whereabouts of his party members.
Without Shoes, POA has been dumped in Kyambogo.

Speaking to media, a visibly annoyed POA accused the police of suppressing his arrangements and risking his chances of being nominated for the country’s top seat. By the time of filing this story, Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu had already stormed the nomination venue.
Police has since issued a statement about POA’s violent arrests.
This is a developing story and we shall keep you updated.
