
As it was anticipated, former president and founder of the National Unity Platform Nkonge Kibalama as appeared in court today for cross examination by lawyers of Bobi wine and the national unity platform. In court a tearful Kibalama contradicted himself several times during the cross examination.
During court, Kibalama refuted allegations of selling NUP to Bobi wine at a tune of 5 Milion dollars which he was seen demanding a video that went viral last week during the time he had disappeared.
The 59 year old Kibalama confirmed to court that he met the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen David Muhoozi and the two discussed issues of the national unity platform and how it changed the name from National Unity and Reconciliation Development Party (NURDP), after the meeting, he was detained until to date and he informed court that he has been under detention not under state security as said by police.
Several times he shed tears while answering to questions which from Lawyers Anthony Wameli and Medard Lubega Segona. By the time of filing this story, court was still on-going with cross examination of his other colleague Simbwa who is the administrative secretary of the national unity platform.
This comes at a time when the two denied giving out the party to the Kyandondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi wine and they say the process was marred with irregularities.
