President Museveni Takes Keen Interest In MP Zaake’s Alleged Torture

President Museveni has shown disbrief to his men in Uniform who arrested Mityana municipality legislator Fancis Zaake Butebi for donating food to his constituents which was against the presidential covid19 guidelines punishable with attempted murder.

However the legislator who was arrested on 19th April 2020 while on his feet can’t even walk and is currently admitted in critical condition in Intensive care at Kiruddu National referral hospital after thorough torture in hands of Uganda police.

While addressing the nation last night, President Museveni wondered why MP Zaake was arrested and NRM MPs and ministers who are giving out food the same way the tortured MP did haven’t been arrested.

“How do you arrest Zake in this Covid19 fight and leave the NRM MPs, including ministers? This will have to be looked into.” – President Museveni

This comes at a time when court on Monday ordered police to release Zaake unconditionally but he was instead re-arrested in the same worrying situation and is still in the hands of police while in hospital.
