Two years down the road, the age-limit curse continues to bite those who stood with the decision of their constituents and voted NO to the amendment of article 102B which granted un-limited age for presidential candidates.
Among those who voted against the removal of the age limit is Kinkizi West MP James Kaberuka who is not in good books with the party general secretary Justine Lumumba who took her disappointment in the MP for voting against the party decision of granting access to 75 year old Museveni to continue ruling Uganda.
In the video shared by NTV, Lumumba is quoted saying if you come to “NRM to get a party ticket, you should go by the orders, rules and the modus operandi of the National Resistance movement” accusing Kaberuka for voting against the age limit removal
However MP Kaberuka couldn’t just sit as Lumumba campaigned him in his own land, he hit back at her with the same resistance possible.
“……..in fact she traveled from Kampala to come and talk on their behalf, you should not vote him back because he consulted people, should i have consulted their mother
