Ugandan MP Pictured Sleeping During Parliamentary Session

If your thought wonders in the pearl of Africa got depleted, then the above picture proves you wrong where a member of parliament slept off during parliamentary session as her fellow MPs were deliberating on issues of national importance.

In a photo that’s making rounds on social media, unlike the usual pictures of legislators and ministers just nodding off during parliament national events like Budget reading and state of national address where many of Museveni’s ministers are seen dozing, this is a different case and had the legislator get into deep sleep and started even to dream leaving fellow legislators in total shock.

However the legislator in question has been identified as Honorable Ssenyonjo Robinah Naksirye subscribing to the Democratic party (DP) the woman Member of parliament for Kyotera district. The legislator was seated to MP Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu who didn’t mind waking her up as he was also busy reading his Whatsapp messages.

Nakasirye was sent in parliament by Kyotera voters in a highly contested election where she got a landslide victory of almost 50.53% (21731) votes beating other four contestants from FDC, NRM and two independents.
