Four-time presidential candidate and FDC party God Father Dr. Kiiza Besigye has once again hit at President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over his promises to fund taxi operators and Boda bodas.
Besigye says everybody had become excited until the minister for Kampala Betty Kamya had not said that “the skilling and funds given to the youths are part of their efforts to strengthen President Museveni’s electoral base in urban areas and keep him in power in beyond 2021”
The People’s president was quoting a story done by Daily Monitor news paper which reported Museveni promising to fund BodaBoda and tax operators which he said during the graduation of over 8000 girls trained under the skilling Uganda project.
The 75 year old Museveni has already shown signs and symptoms of staying in power in the forth coming elections of 2021 which experts say will be a challenge for him since coming to power in 1986.
However, if we are to go by the events that have been taking place with the FDC party, Besigye is tipped to challenge his former boss in 2021.
