And Richard the Gooner believes Benitez would have been a better fit to succeed Arsene Wenger as he would have started by strengthening their defense, which remains a big problem for the north London side. Benitez’ defensive record speaks for itself, especially away from home where Arsenal have particularly struggled.
There has been a lot positive changes at @Arsenal and we’re now starting to see a change in our players performance on the field. This season will again be trial and error with our new players coming in and having to adapt to the #UnaiEmery way. It won’t be easy but we move!

However, Tony Cascarino also believes Unai Emery ‘got his tactics all wrong’ against Liverpool and claims Arsenal are still a long way off challenging for the Premier League title. Last season, only champions Manchester City (11) and runners-up Liverpool (12) conceded fewer goals away from home than Newcastle United (23) in the Premier League.
