Uganda Cranes have earned bragging rights after swallowing Rwanda’s Amavubi stars in a 2022 world cup qualifier game that has just ended 1-0 courtesy of Fahad Bayo scored in the 22nd minute at the Kitende based St Mary’s Stadium.
This was Uganda’s second win against Rwanda after last week’s Thursday match were today’s only goal scorer Fahad Bayo scored 1-0 in Rwanda putting Uganda in a comfortable second position of Group E with Kenya and Mali.
Uganda now has 8 points after securing two wins against Rwanda and two draws against Kenya and Mali. Kenya has two points after securing two draws against Uganda and Rwanda and loosing terribly two matches to Mali home and away.
In the other group E matches, Kenya lost to Mali at home in a game that took place at Nyayo national stadium in the capital Nairobi. It also ended 1-0 with Ibrahim Kone scoring the only goal in the 56th minute.
Mali now leads group E with 10 points after securing three wins against Rwanda, Kenya and one draw against Uganda with Rwanda at the bottom of the group with only one point secured against a draw with Kenya. All teams have now played four games.
