0
Nagirinya Prime Suspects

The murder of NGO employee Nagirinya Miriam and her driver Ronald Kitayimbwa shocked everyone since it was a rare abduction and kidnap different from the previous ones where the abductors could ask ransom from the victim’s family.

During her funeral mass at Lubaga cathedral, president Museveni vowed to bring the killers to book and tasked police to do whatever it can to arrest the Nagirinya killers and he has since then directed for the dismissal of all police cops attached to Natete CCTV monitoring unit over negligence.

Police was very first to release a CCTV footage showing a man in a red jacket driving Nagirinya’s car, early this week police confirmed to have arrested five men in a Sunday night raid motivated by the Chieftancy Of Military Intelligency (CMI) at 11pm On Mabiito Club, this was followed by firing of bullets and two of the five were immediately arrested including a one Kasolo commonly known as Arsenal and another one identified as Baros who led to the arrest of the rest

As fate would have it, Arsenal was found donning a red jacket, one in which he was captured by the CCTV camera as he drove Nagirinya’s Toyota Spacio and another suspect was found in possession with Kitayimbwa’s simcard.

However, in a quite promising revelation by police last night, the spokesperson confirmed they have in custody the man who paid the Nagirinya Killers and Fred Enanga says it’s a break through to enable investigators get to the bottom line of this case.

“We are following all leads but the most important thing is that yesterday (Monday) we arrested the deal maker, the one who identified the plot” he said

The deal maker who is believed to have contacted the killers was apprehended in Wakiso district and his arrest followed information provided by the ‘’prime suspects taken into custody last night. However, officials declined to name the man, who is reportedly being held under CMI custody for fear of jeopardizing the ongoing investigations.

This investigative website has also learnt that the Monday arrest, touted in security circles as a significant person with priceless information amid revelations that the inquiries were being widened to Nagirinya’s work place and family as detectives string together the killer’s motive and this brings the number of the arrested to Seven.

Isaac Isinde Man Of The Match

By Abbey Kalikwani Hillary

It was a rare occasion at the FUFA technical centre in Njeru as Busoga United former Kirinya -Jinja SS thumped Bul fc 3-0 in a highly contested Jinja derby.

Our sports analyst Kalikwani Hilary gives you a detailed analysis of the general performance of Busoga United in their first Jinja derby win that saw them earn bragging rights in the third position of the Uganda premier league table.

Busoga united won the first Jinja derby of the season with a comfortable 3 – 0 victory over Bul FC. Boban Zirintuusa, Joel Madondo and Lawrence Tezikya were on target as the students recorded their first derby League victory in seven games.

Boban converted from the spot in the 72nd minute, Joel Madondo doubled the students lead in the 83rd minute with his trademark long range short before Lawrence Tezikya sealed all three points in the 93rd minute. Here is my player rattings.

GK. ALI KIMERA – 7
Organised and commanded his bacline very well. Made a couple of simple saves for his first clean sheet of the season though received a silly caution for his time wasting antics.

RB. DOUGLASS MUGANGA – 8
Put in some thumping challenges and relished the physical contest with his hard tackles.

LB. ISMA KAWAWULO – 7
Was on top of his game, never gave Otim a sniff and offered width where possible.

CB. KAKEETO SHAFIC – 8
Calm as u like, great composure, used the ball well at the back and made vital tackles to shackle a frustrated Bul front line.

CB. ISAAC ISINDE – 9.5 MOTM
Experience is the best teacher indeed. Was a towering presence thru out, led by example and dealt with everything brought forward.

CM. KASONKO GEORGE – 8
The skipper was his usual combative self in the center of the park. Made timely interceptions and easly turned defence into attack.

CM. MANDELA NELSON – 7.5
His work rate was second to none, his legs were just about everywhere and he drove the team forward.

CAM. BOBAN ZIRINTUUSA – 9
Saw plenty of the ball, dictated play, calmly converted from the spot. Wat a perfectly timed and weighed pass for Tezikya!

RAM. MUSA MAGUMBA – 6
A quiet evening for the winger who latter swapped wings with Wani but failed to get the better of either Denis Okot or Richard Matovu. Was latter withdrawn for Tezikya.

LAM. WANI IVAN – 8
Had a slow start but grew into the game especially after the break, beat Richard Matovu for pace before being brought down by Walter Ochora for the penalty.
Okot failed to clear his cross from the right flank which resulted into Madondoz second.

ST. JOEL MADONDO – 9
Got thru plenty of work with his electric pace and Terrific trickery, worked tirelessly to pull the BUL backline out of Joint and scored a screamer.

SUB. LAWRENCE TEZIKYA – 8
stepped things up with an injection of some clever runs and strong hold up play. Scored his first senior goal in a familiar atmosphere.

SUB. HAKIM MAGOMBE – NA
SUB. ISMA MUGULUSI – NA

The speaker sounded this parental caution during the training of protocol officers who will welcome the delegates who are coming to attend the 64th parliamentary conference that brings over 500 parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and decision makers from across the common wealth member countries from 22nd this month to 24th.

“When the Tanzanians stayed in this country, there was excitement and a number of children were born in this country, we know their mothers but we don’t know their fathers” Said Kadaga
