Muslim Cleric attached to Masjid Alfurqan Masajja, Sheik Abas Muhammed has been gunned down by security forces.
However, the reason for this shooting is still unknown. Police and other security agencies are currently searching his residence.
This shooting follows just few days when suicide bombers hit Kampala with explosives that killed more than 7 people and left several others critically injured.

As panic engulfs the Central Business District (CBD) of Kampala following Bomb explosions that have caused death and injuries to several, police have released some clues on what happened immediately before the explosion.
In the CCTV footage police has released, two police patrols are seen parked near the Central police Station (CPS) and a man carrying a back pack is seen heading to the side of CPS and as soon as the man disappears, an explosion is heard.

As we keep tabs on the deadly blasts that have caused anarchy and panic in the city, latest updates indicate that so far 27 causalities have so been received at Mulago Referral Hospital but chances are high that more are admitted in other city hospitals.
According to the Permanent Secretary (PS) at the Ministry of Health Diana Atwine who was few minutes ago speaking to the media at Mulago hospital confirms the facility has 27 injured people so brought.
Of these 20 are male and 7 are female with 7 in critical conditions. The number of those injured and dead hasn’t yet been confirmed but, in the videos, so far shared on social media indicate some police officers and civilians have succumbed to injuries as dead bodies and scattered human flesh is seen scattered at both scenes of Jubilee house at the Kampala Central Police Station.
It’s a moment of panic in the city but we shall bring you more details.
There are 27 casualties in total at Mulago. 20 are male and 7 female.
20 are stable and 7 are critical.

Parliament has been forced to suspend today’s plenary following explosions that have rocked the city centre today morning leaving several dead and injured.
Loud explosions were heard at Jubilee building along parliamentary avenue and another at the entrance of Kampala Central Police Station (CPS).
The incident comes barely a month since the first bomb explosions at Komamboga pork joint, another one in a western Uganda swift bus in Mpigi and have left several injured.
Other bomb explosions have been reported in recent days in Kibuku, Nakaseke, Luwero and have left several injured and nursing wounds.
Following the huge explosions, the clerk to parliament Adolf Mwesigye has notified all the Members of Parliament and staff that he has been directed by the Deputy speaker to suspend today’s business and will be notified when the situation has been normalized.

Shocking news coming in indicate that there has been a huge explosion in the city centre Kampala few minutes.
The explosion suspected to be a bomb has happened at Raja chambers near parliament and another one near Kampala Central Police Station (CPS) and reports indicate that several people have died and injured.
It took place near Uganda’s parliament and police has already cordoned off the police but videos so far shared on social media show several cars on fire.

Reports coming in indicate that one person has been killed and four others injured in explosion this afternoon in Nakaseke district.
According to reports it’s suspected the explosion might have been caused by a bomb but police will verify such claims as more details come in.
This comes at a time when Ugandans are on high alert following a bomb explosion at Digida restaurant a known pork joint in Kawempe, another bomb explosion claimed one in a Hoima bound swift bus in Mpigi district.
Yesterday two children were also critically injured in Kasese after an explosion which was suspected to be a bomb.
Police has since arrested several in connection to the attacks which have been linked to the DRC based rebel group Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).

Coach Peter Onen has taken over at Gaddafi Football Club as the new head coach on a one year renewable contract. The 43 year old tactician has replaced Abu Mubarak Wamboya.
“I am so greatfull to be welcomed here at Gaddafi FC. My expectation has always been coming back in the topflight league,” he said
The Soldier Boys have experienced a burdensome start to life in Uganda Premier League as the club has managed only five points in as many games. They currently rank 9th on the log and their new coach said he only targets avoiding the drop.
“My target is to make sure the team remains consistent in the league.”
“We are going to blend our football according to the situation. We shall work together with collective effort for us to come up with good performance.”

Events promoter Balaam Barugahare has pleaded with police to forgive the couple which was recorded having sex in a viral video alongside a busy road in Kisoro.
Balaam was reacting to a Facebook post in which police confirmed that it had arrested the couple for taking part in the battle of Babylon of Do me, I do you and they will be arraigned in court and charged accordingly for public nuisance and due to their acts of annoyance to the public.
The events promoter says police should let people enjoy themselves because stress can kill especially during these hard times of Covid-19. He also urges police to forgive the couple since the public enjoyed watching them bonking themselves alongside the busy road.
According the Regional police spokesperson IP Elly Maate, the man in the video has been identified as Hafashimana Paskari, a 29-year-old Boda boda rider of Migeshi Village, Rwaramba Parish and the woman is Muhawenimana Colodine Mukamulenzi a 24-year-old of Rwandese descent who lives in Nyakinama subcounty in Kisoro District.
Police has also revealed that upon interrogating the lady, she says she was given UGX5000 for a quickie alongside the busy highway in Kisoro and also tasked to hold the bicycle not to fall as Paskari pumped national water inside her tank.

News reaching our desk indicate that five Eritrean female footballers have today early morning disappeared from their camp in Jinja.
The girls are part of the team that’s taking part in the CECAFA women U-20 football tournament which kicked off on 30th October all through to 9th November 2021 taking place at Njeru technical centre in Njeru.
According to a statement released by CECAFA, the five female footballers went AWOL from a hotel in Jinja and a case has since been reported to police and investigations are currently ongoing.
The Eritrean team was set to take on Uganda at 4pm at Njeru Technical Team.
This is not the first time Eritrean footballers are disappearing in Uganda particularly in Jinja. The same happened in 2019 when five male footballers who were taking part in the U-20 Challenge Cup.
Eritrean footballers have the taken the opportunity of trips abroad to run away in the past.
A group of 10 Eritrean National players refused to return home after a world cup qualifying match in Botswana in 2015. Also, Uganda granted asylum to 15 other players as well as the team doctor in 2013 after the group absconded during the previous year’s CECAFA Tusker Senior challenge cup.
And in 2009, the entire national team failed to return home after a tournament in Kenya. Only the coach and one official were found on board the place once it landed.
Human rights group Amnesty International says compulsory military service and rights abuses are forcing thousands to flee Eritrea though the Eritrean government has always dismissed these allegations in the past and said figures of those fleeing are fabricated.
