National Unity Platform (NUP) President Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has joined thousands of Ugandans to morn the sudden death of Deputy Government Spokesperson, Col. Shaban Bantariza.

Col. Bantariza was pronounced dead today morning having succumbed to Covid-19 according to Gov’t spokesperson Ofwono Opondo.

In a lengthy statement on his official social media handle, Bobi Wine asserts that the negative and unkind comments from people on social media about NRM’s strongman Shaban Bantariza indicates the growing wedge between our rulers and those who are ruled.

“I have also read very many unkind comments about him on social media. It never used to be like this, but may be this reflects the growing wedge between our rulers and those who are ruled. My prayer is that this will cause deep reflection amongst all of us” States Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine maintains that although some comrades, celebrate the death of their oppressors, he feels sad when they die and he wishes that they live much longer and witness a new Uganda which is governed with fairness, justice and love.

“Unlike some comrades who celebrate when their oppressors die, I personally feel sad when they die. I always wish that they live much longer and witness a #NewUganda which is governed with fairness, justice and love”.

Pastor Ssenyonga has accused the late of living a sinful life and misleading his followers.

Pastor Ssenyonga also accused Pastor Yiga of infecting some of his followers with HIV/Aids!

“It’s on record that Mr Yiga had HIV. We have evidence from health facilities and the test was done under law,” Ssenyonga told journalists in a press he called at his home this morning.
