BUGINGO SHOOTING: Police To Pay Shs20Million For Information About The Assailants

0

A cloud of sorrow hovers above Richard Muhumuza’s home in Muguluka village, Ssembabule district as friends, relatives and congregants at Bugingo’s Makerere Kikoni based Canaan land still live with fear and shock following an assassination attempt on their lead pastor on Tuesday last week.

Police which says the scene of crime was tampered with says it collected some cartridge and projectiles from the scene and ballistic experts have since concluded that the gun which in the Bugingo shooting is the same that killed blogger Isma Olaxes in May last year. His bullet riddled car as transferred to the directorate of criminal investigations in Kibuli from the headquarters in Naguru.

Speaking at the police’s weekly press briefing at the force’s headquarters in Naguru, police mouthpiece Fred Enanga says a huge cash has been released to pay any one who has information regarding the killer gun or even the assailants that attempted to kill the vocal pastor who supports president Msueveni and Muhoozi Keinerugaba without fear or favor but with flavor.

The army has since taken over Bugingo’s security detail at his home in Namayumba, Wakiso district, at Canaan land and even a his salt media base in Lungujja. As police continue searching for the assailants including checking CCTV footages on cameras around, Frank Gashumba has already accused Bobi Wine’s NUP for being behind the incident indicating that they want to kill Bugingo because he supports president Museveni.

KATANGA MURDER: Untouchable Widow Molly Skips Now Show Again As Court Orders Daughter’s Arrest

0

The day 2nd November 2023 sounds bells of grief and sorry in the family of slain business man Henry Katanga who died mysterious following a domestic blow at his Mbuya based home in Nakawa division.

Court on November 21 directed that Molly Katanga Bananukye the wife to the deceased appears in court today 8th January 2023 after skipping sessions twice. And the suspects who were remanded to Luzira prisons were also set to appear today.

It’s not clear what exactly happened but immediately after the shooting of Katanga, his wife Molly Bananukye went into comma and has been hospitalized at IHK in Kampala and reportedly undergone several surgeries.

Following the incident, Molly Katanga’s mother Mirieli Kyobuhoro hired top city lawyers in addition to the others that the family hired. Among these is former Deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana who are making sure that Molly Bananukye and her daughter Martha all go to prison other than hiding at IHK hospital. Kyobuhoro says if Molly and her daughter need medical attention, prisons is well facilitated to care for them.

Martha Nkwanza Who Faces Arrest

She was supposed to appear in court today but her lawyers came with documents from ministry of Health indicating that their client Molly Bananukye is still sick and not yet recovered having undergone five surgeries.

Now the Nakawa Chief Magistrate court has issued an arrest warrant for Martha Nkwanzi and extended Molly Katanga’s court summons as the other suspects arrested before were returned to Luzira prisons following their failed bail hearing and will instead wait a bit longer until January 2024 when their bail hearing will be brought forward for hearing.

Martha has been skipping court three times after giving birth to her second child, a baby boy but her grand mother Kyobuhoro who i still bitter about how her son died mysteriously says Martha should go to jail and breastfeed her baby from there.

When Katanga died, three people were arrested and have been on remand since then, these include Dr Charles Otai, George Amanyire who is a shamba boy, Patricia Kakwanza who is Molly Katanga’s eldest daughter.

This is a high end legal battle as both families are well connected to government and are all being bank rolled by top governments which will make it a bit hard for the battle to come to a conclusion very well.

FOOTBALL TO COMEDY: See Former Arsenal Star Living New Life As a Stand-up Comedian

0

GLENN HELDER was a practical joker during his time at Arsenal before choosing to make people laugh for a living. The former Gunners star launched a career as a stand-up comedian after retiring from football.

Helder was a Dutch international before retiring aged 41 in 2010 and going on to work as a musician and guest speaker alongside his comedy exploits.

He had always been a joker in the dressing room, though, including during his time in North London.

Asked whether he was the funniest in the dressing room, he told Metro Nieuws in 2016: “Well, let me put it this way, I certainly wasn’t the quietest, haha.

“I have always played with nice guys at all clubs, up to the Dutch national team.

“Some people need half an hour of silence before the match, but I didn’t need that. I knew what I could do and showed it on the field. But I laughed a lot in the dressing room.

“When I came to Sparta as a rookie, I certainly had respect for the elders, but I was the one who turned the lights on and off.

“To put it mildly, I was more likely to be at the front than the back when it came to joking. During my time at Arsenal they took terrible revenge on me, you know.”

As for how he got into comedy after retiring, he explained: “I was asked to be on Comedy Central’s Celebrity Stand-Up program and that was actually the first time I did that.

“I’m already on a tour with FC De Rebellin, visiting almost all the theatres. That’s a lot of fun to do. Of course, you also talk about the stupid things you’ve done in life and those are actually laughable enough.

“The difference with stand-up is that you have to tell it in a way that makes people laugh. It needs to be a little tighter, but according to others I have a talent for it. And I think it is an honor to be on stage with Roué Verveer.”

Helder continued: “I like humor, but I didn’t go looking for it or anything. I was asked to do it and it’s just fun to do. I notice that it doesn’t bother me.

“Look, if you ask me about the construction of a NASA rocket, I will decline, but I can do this. I know what I can do, but I also know very well what I cannot do.”

The 55-year-old spent two years with Arsenal between 1995 and 1997, scoring once in 49 appearances for the Gunners. He also had spells in Portugal, China and Hungary as well as his native Netherlands, for whom he won four caps.

WARDROBE MALFUNCTIONS: Mikel Arteta’s Trouser Rips Apart During Arsenal’s Clash With Liverpool

0

Viewers wondered if the Gunners’ boss “had “ripped” his slacks where he would least want to as he sat in the dugout during Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat against Liverpool.

But it was split decision over what could have caused the grey patch on the crotch area of the Spaniard’s clothing.

AD: FOR THE BEST WEB HOSTING, WEB DESIGNS AND DOMAIN NAMES, CALL OR WHATSAPP +256758201313

One viewer summed up the mystery: “What’s going on with Arteta’s trousers?

And unfortunately many of the responses were no less certain.

“Has Arteta got a split in his trousers,” asked one.

And another observer claimed the pressing matter had left him “crying” with laughter as he pondered: “Has Arteta ripped his trousers?” Many fans were similarly creased-up with amusement.

But on the pitch Arsenal took their eye off the ball, at least in front of goal. Poor finishing cost them dear as Liverpool sneaked into the fourth round with a late double.

A Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick glanced in off the head of Gunners’ defender Jakub Kiwior on 80 minutes. Then Luis Diaz strode away to neatly round off a counter-attack five minutes into stoppage time.

One fan responded to the Gunners’ waste of 18 attempts on goal by posting: “I’m actually worried we actually have lost the ability to score.”

And amid pleas for Arsenal to splash out on new strikers, Arteta must wonder how his current bunch failed to trouser at least one of their five efforts on target.

Yesterday Bugingo’s Canaan land was fully packed with his followers who came to commiserate the death of the SFC guard cum Church Elder Richard Muhumuza and at the same time sympathize with their lead pastor who miraculously survived the bullets that rained on his car.

Among those who attended the highly emotional church service was his mother who revealed that upon receiving news of the shooting of her Son, she immediately had to travel to Uganda from Rwanda to come and check on him.

Security has since taken over Bugingo’s security detail at his home in Namayumba-Wakiso district, even at Canaan land and also any of his other installations especially his Salt Media base in Lungujja. His body guard as laid to rest on Friday after noon in an event that was mixed with emotions and blames to the opposition for master minding the Bugingo shooting as alleged by Frank Gashumba.

BUGINGO SHOOTING: Top Army Boss Warns Netizens Over Trolls As UPDF Takes Over His Security

0
The Pastor's Hand Injured and Not Injured

It’s almost coming to a week since Pastor Bugingo survived an assassination attempt on his life when last week on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Fortunately he survived unhurt but unfortunately his body guard Richard Muhumuuza didn’t survive the shooting.

According to pastor and eye witnesses, he was driving back home when unknown assailants opened fire and showered rains of bullets to his monster ride. Over 13 bullets were fired at him and his blue eyed boy and friend Muhumuza died instantly despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mulago Hospital.

It came to be known that the Church Elder was a highly trained SFC guard deployed to guard the city’s vocal pastor of House of prayer. He was laid to rest under UPDF arrangement at Muguluka village in Ssembabule district.

Ugandans have turned the incident into trolls with many questioning how the pastor drove while hiding under the steering, how the pastor drove the bullet riddled vehicle upto Mulago despite the fear and shock at the moment, others question how the pastor reached hospital unhurt despite claiming a bullet slit his back apart and his hand, they’re also those who question how the dead guard fell on pastor Bugingo but while in hospital his shirt had not single dot of blood spilled on him.

As the trolls continue rolling on the House of Prayer Ministries International mostly caused by his Salt Media manager who claimed his boss in too much paid with an injury on the back the hand but people continue hugging him, even touching his back endlessly with his hurt hand now with out any injury despite having a visible bandage in hospital on the fateful night.

Now a top Army boss Col Mwesigye while speaking at Canaan land has warned Ugandans against trivializing the pastor’s shooting and throwing trolls at him in this critical moment. He says it’s so surprising how how some one survives an assassination attempt and a sane Ugandan goes Infront of their camera’s and starts drawing conclusions and theories surrounding such an incident even before police does it’s work.

Col Mwesigye also revealed that the army has taken over pastor’s security again at the church, his residence and even in Rubaga. He also warns Ugandans to stay in their lane and avoid trolling pastor Bugingo.

AC Milan Eyeing Aston Villa Striker Jhon Duran

0

Aston Villa are willing to listen to offers for Jhon Duran if they can find a suitable replacement this window, and the Colombian has interest from AC Milan.

However, the club may encounter difficulty finding a candidate that can offer a robust back-up option to first-choice striker Ollie Watkins during the January window.

Watkins has been in blistering form this season, effectively shutting Duran out of Emery’s immediate plans.

Mail Sport also understands that the head coach and his player have sometimes not seen eye to eye, with the 20-year-old thought to be frustrated with decisions to substitute him at various points during Villa’s European season.

The Villans have sold Finn Azaz to Middlesbrough for £2million but he is not eligible to face his former club in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The player had previously been on loan at Plymouth Argyle for the last two seasons, and was described by then-head coach Steve Schumacher as ‘the most intelligent footballer I have ever met’.

Continuing to manage their outgoings, Villa, who have expressed interest in Crystal Palace and West Ham target Ronnie Edwards at Peterborough United, have allowed left-back Ben Chrisene to join Blackburn on loan.

Last season the 19-year-old was on loan at Kilmarnock before being sidelined nearly a year ago when he tore his medial ligament.

Chrisene has two years left on his current deal with Villa, signed under then-head coach Steven Gerrard.

Rovers captain Lewis Travis is to join Ipswich on a season-long loan, jumping up the Championship table in the process to join the promotion-challengers.

Blackburn head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson admitted that the move had roots in the club’s financial position.

‘He’s one of the more expensive boys in our group, so (the move) will free some space up in the financial department to get some players in as well,’ Tomasson said.

Another Football Boss Slams VAR

0

Verona director of sport Sean Sogliano slammed the match officials after Inter Milan’s 2-1 victory at the San Siro.

VAR opted not to intervene when Alessandro Bastoni looked to have committed a foul shortly before Davide Frattesi’s 93rd-minute winner.

And Sogliano expressed his rage at the decision.

He said in a post-match news conference: “I am sorry to come here and not be able to talk about football.

“Verona come here every year and lose at San Siro. I realise Inter are a great team and I hope they win the Scudetto but today there was a huge lack of respect towards my club.

“We all make mistakes — referees, players, coaches, journalists and directors. But what happened today is absurd.

“I am truly let down. I tend to trust VAR but today what happened was shameful.”

Lautaro Martinez had opened the scoring after 13 minutes before Thomas Henry equalised in the second half, leaving Sogliano disgruntled to see his team leave Milan empty handed.

He added: “It is pointless if I go to the referee and ask for an explanation if VAR did not give him any information.

The goal is obviously unfair. I understand you want to be here talking about Inter for the title and not poor little Verona but if we don’t talk about this, then we just pretend it didn’t happen.

“I am truly shocked by this system, by two professionals who I respect in the VAR booth but it is impossible that they didn’t think to call the referee back for that.

“Probably someone higher up than the VAR decided that it had to go like this.”

Verona remain in the thick of the Serie A relegation battle while Inter extended their lead over Juventus at the top to five points.

Fabrizio Romano On Mbappe- Madrid Deal

0

It’s a perennial transfer saga that never seems to go away, and Kylian Mbappe’s ‘will he, won’t he’ move to Real Madrid is back on the agenda again. For years now Los Blancos have been tracking the French World Cup winner, and despite it looking more than likely that he would join the Spanish top-flight outfit in the past, the deal has never quite materialised.

Mbappe is into the last few months of his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain, and though the smart money would still be on him pitching up at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, it still isn’t a foregone conclusion. “It’s always the same on Mbappe guys. When he decides his future, we will let people know,” Fabrizio Romano said in his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside.

“We’ve spent years commenting on rumours but nothing happened. Mbappe wants to take his time with his mother and lawyers to make the best decision. “Real Madrid are still working on it behind the scenes but for sure they won’t wait forever as it happened two years ago… so timing will also be important, for sure.

“Let’s see what will happen because PSG will keep insisting on a contract extension.” It’s clear why both Real retain their interest in the striker and why PSG want to keep hold of him. From a club perspective, he has more chance to win the bigger trophies available if he were to move to Real Madrid.

With the greatest of respect to PSG, they’re consistent failures on the biggest stage, whereas Los Blancos stand alone as the greatest European football side in history. Were Mbappe to decide to remain where he is once more, the suggestion that he’s therefore only in it for the money is likely to be levelled at him again.
