Executive Director of UNYFA Humphrey Mutasa During the Press Conference

By Hambali Jojo

Kampala: Executive Director of Young Farmers Federation of Uganda (UNYFA) – Humphrey Mutasa  had said that media should allocate enough airtime and space to agriculture as it has to music if the country is to achieve sustainable growth and development.

“Recently, I was part of a research and we discovered that most radio stations have between 13-17 hours of music. Radios have got very many musical shows. Most do not have even a program on agriculture. This is an impediment to the agricultural sector.”
“The fourth estate should give agriculture that employs more than 70% of Ugandans and contributes more than 44% to the country’s gross domestic product top priority,” he advised.

Denis Kabito, the federation’s national coordinator and Chief Executive Officer sounded their concern louder by stating that; “So much time has been put on songs like Parte after Parte.”

The coordinator stressed that, “Music is not the back born of Uganda” while presiding over a flag off function of 15 young farmers who are Germany bound at UNYFA head offices in Kampala.

Mutasa said radio stations should schedule call in programs about farming, arguing that this will lure youths into the activity which is one of the most lucrative in Uganda.

The young farmers will share experiences with various host farms in Germany, alongside acquiring knowledge in agriculture through hands on experience. They will be lectured on: agricultural mechanization, systems of production, global food systems and also attend international food programs during their three months stay in the country.

UNYFA is an umbrella body for young farmers in Uganda. It has over 50 young farmers associations and initiatives with more than 20,000 individual young farmers.

VIDEO: Out Spoken Sheikh Muzaata Pins Museveni On MUK Army Brutality

Out spoken sheikh Nuhu Muzaata who made Singer Eddy Kenzo shed tears during his social media rants to have him apologize over his remarks he made during Rema’s kukyala held early last month has jumped on President Museveni for letting his men in uniform to mistreat Makerere university students.

His remarks come at a time when the army is under fire for breaking into Makerere hostels of Lumumba and Mary stuart where they beat up students, destroyed property including those with disabilities, the army bowed to pressure on Friday last week and arrested their own Capt Ronald Lubeela who is said to have commanded the brutal night raids on the hostels.

According to Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata,Much happened to the female students than what we see and hear in the media, he further alleges president Museveni who denied during the NRM legislator’s retreat he convened last week where he denied he didn’t know that the army was deployed at Makerere university yet he’s the commander in chief.

Muzaata calls upon President Museveni to stop spending time on meeting Musicians like full figure, Butcherman, Catherine Kusasira among others who don’t matter so much in solving Uganda’s issues. But check out the LDU guys who terrorize people at night in Kampala and break their national IDs in pieces.

Joshua King’s Strike Stings Manchester United’s Revival Plans

2

Manchester United’s mini-revival came to a crashing halt as Josh King’s strike on the stroke of half-time earned Bournemouth a 1-0 win in treacherous weather conditions on England’s south coast.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men had not won away from home since March until 10 days ago, but three consecutive wins on the road at Partizan Belgrade, Norwich and Chelsea to book a place in the League Cup quarter-finals in midweek hinted at a turning point for the Norwegian.

Instead, the failings that have characterised their season were back in evidence as a lack of goal threat and one moment of slack defending inflicted a fourth Premier League defeat in 11 games. The visitors had started the brighter as both sides struggled to cope in the howling wind and rain.

The visitors had started the brighter as both sides struggled to cope in the howling wind and rain. Daniel James whistled a long-range effort just wide, whilst Anthony Martial saw appeals for a penalty waved away.

Bournemouth struck their decisive blow just before the break when King, who started his career in England at United after being recommended to Alex Ferguson by Solskjaer, came back to haunt his former employers. The Norwegian acrobatically lifted the ball beyond Victor Lindelof and bamboozled Aaron Wan-Bissaka before firing past David de Gea to send the un-scaring Red Devils to the 10th position on the table with just 13 points.

How Uncle Seki tricked a Lugbara Babe in the market and ended up watering her dry ‘sumbie’ in an unforgettable night

0

Days back when I was still dealing in old clothes at downtown at Owino Market, there was this beautiful lugbara babe who tempted me but I was cut short by her rudeness towards people of the opposite sex. This lady could abuse you upon approaching her but I had this in mind if it means going to Jjuju to win her on my side i would. But I remembered the old proverb we used to say when I was still in the village in Mityana “Emesse nebwegeja etya, ya kappa” which literally means however much the Rat grows big, it ends up being eaten by a cat.

So I got back to my old script, I went through mama junior who was her best friend, she told her my manifesto in capital letters until she accepted to meet the guy she was being told about. Guess what the meeting place was some bonking pad in Kamwokya, it’s where she found me and what happened is the real reason I was created a man. I left directions at the reception that once she reaches, she should be directed to room 16.

You know however much a leopard is so rude, it calms down and gets impregnanted without fear or favor but with flavor. As I was still replying to my Whatsapp messages, I had a knock on the door, upon saying please enter, nga indeed it’s Racheal I had been waiting for the last One hour. I welcomed her with a big hug which lasted for close to 3 minutes as I was whispering in her ears that am lucky to have her on my side.

She got down for Business as usual and we started kissing and snogging, as I pulled out the hard cassava which had been poking inside the porch, I had wanted to eat her live until she told me in her broken Luganda mbu sebbo akapila aliwa, and I easily understood she was demanding for the anti-virus which was just down under the pillow, we got it and she offered to roll it herself, I felt like jumping out of my skin because of the audacity.

I chopped her mercilessly and she started mourning in Lugbara as she was praising the size of my cassava, and you know what boosts a man’s performance between the sheets are those songs of praise and worship for your mister as you also praise her water logged punani. Man the lady started splashing and I was also driven so fast to knock the bull’s eye and indeed the magma came out so fast and she hurriedly welcomed me back from Arua.

The second round started immediately after we had a shower together, this time round she started wobbling so quickly and indeed it was due, with the third and fourth round she reminded me she was staying at her auntie’s home who was too hard to convince. So she said she could go home early to avoid the mess of sending her back to Koboko. I pulled out a 50k note and handed it to her as transport back to Kajjansi and she promised we could be meeting in the market some other time and I counted myself a winner after eating her sumbi. I remain yours and forever Uncle SEKI

Bobi wine Mourns His Fallen Soja Sweet Pepsi Who Was Battered by Army

BBC Correspondent Allan Aturinda Gives First Aid To Sweet Pepsi after Being beaten by UPDF

Fire brand politician and Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi wine today joined the rest of the Ugandans to mourn his fellow musician and supporter Sewankambo Hannington aka Sweet pepsi who succumbed to injuries he sustained last year when army battered him like a chicken thief.

During a military raid on Bobi wine supporters in Kasangati last year upon his arrival from the US where he had gone to seek medication after the Arua fracas that left him brutalized and costed him of his driver Yasin Kawuma, army battered singer Ssewankambo Hannington in a video that went viral and the army said it was not UPDF but Nigerian army.

This is not the first time people power supporters are dying, many others have been brutalized, tortured and held in safe houses over unknown reasons. Still police keep a deaf ear on such issues that are costing Ugandans their lives and making it a risk for people to support Bobi Wine’s people power movement.

Bobi Wine further blasted security agencies for the continuous mistreatment of people power supporters and the their tormentors are left enjoying life and no one is brought to book.

Pastor Bujingo Wins Wife in Court Case of Child Neglect

0

For months now, the Bujingos have been in the media over their family issues that are in and out of courts every single day that passes. Early last month, pastor Bujingo’s wife dragged her estranged husand and house of prayer ministries lead pastor Alyosius Bujingo for allegedly abandoning his children and neglecting his duties as a father.

This was followed with an invitation with the Minister in charge of Youths and Children affairs Nakiwala Kiyingi who tasked Bujingo to explain the circumstances that made his wife to drag him to court, to every one’s surprise Bujingo revealed how he cares for his family, having a vehicle for his daughter which she drives to and from University, another vehicle that takes his only son Isaac Bujingo to a Kinderarten along entebe road and many other things.

While presiding over the case at court in Kajjansi, Justice Christine Nantege ruled that pastor Bujingo is only entitled to take care of his only boy Isaac Bujingo who is just 5 years old, he’s not supposed to take care of his other three daughters who are above 18 years, he can only do that out of good will not by force like what the wife Teddy wanted.

This comes at the backdrop of another pending court case in which pastor Bujingo seeks court to divorce him with his wife Teddy Bujingo who he has been with for the 29 years, this comes after their relationship hit a hard rock following media rants by the wife and Bujingo wants to marry his new catch Suzan Makula Nantaba whom he’s currently bonking even before the official wedding.

Now that court has binned Teddy Bujingo’s case, we wait for her next move if she will appeal to have a redress in another court or wait for another win to officially let Bujingo go ahead to marry Suzan Makula who he publicly proposed too during his Independence night crusade at Namboole stadium.
