Netizens Roast Chameleone’s Brother Weasle For Claiming This At Nubian Li’s Wedding

Weasle Manizo

We all have friends, some too close, some not close to us but we still consider them as friends. The pain of missing out on celebrating with them some of their life achievements can gag you the wrong way and this is what Weasle is going through.

Chameleone’s young brother Douglas Mayanja also known as Weasle is currently on the receiving end for claiming Nubian Li didn’t consider him as a guest to invite him for his glamourous wedding with his wife Salha Mutoni that was staged yesterday.

At the pompous wedding that majorly attracted big wigs in the National Unity platform including the principle himself Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, Lewis Rubongoya, Francis Zaake among others was silently organized but looked colorful as it continues trending on social media.

However, Weasle’s comment complaining of not being invited as Nubian Li walked the Aisle with his longtime lover didn’t go well with many accusing him of being a hypocrite who didn’t even check on Nubian Li as he spent almost six months in detention at Kitalya prison so he couldn’t be invited to such a colorful event.

Reactions are captured in the following screenshots.

Busquets Named UEFA nations League Best Player

0

France came from behind after Oyarzabal’s goal to win the Nations League final against Spain. Luis Enrique’s side played a good game, but Karim Benzema’s wonder goal and a controversial goal from Kylian Mbappe gave the trophy to Didier Deschamps’ side.

After the match, UEFA wanted to recognize Busquets’ work and great performances with ‘la Roja’ in the final phase of the tournament. For this reason, the organization awarded him the prize for the best player of the competition. An award that had a bittersweet taste due to the fact that he did not come out on top.

In addition, the Barcelona midfielder entered the golden pages of the national team by becoming the fourth Spanish player with the most caps, with a total of 131. He is ahead of Xavi Hernandez (133), Casillas (167) and Sergio Ramos (180).

The next matches for the Iberian national team will take place during the next international break in November. Luis Enrique will play against Greece and Sweden, two very important matches for the qualification to the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

Manchester United have three new UEFA Nations League winners. Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane, and Anthony Martial all lifted the trophy as France beat Spain 2-1 in the final.

Pogba was the only one to play 90 minutes in the final as he added a second international trophy to his collection. Former Nations League winner Bruno Fernandes was the first club teammate to congratulate him.

Fernandes’ Portugal won the Nations League with a victory over Netherlands in 2019. Along with Ronaldo, Fernandes won that trophy before he signed with United.

Fernandes and Pogba are close on and off the pitch and the quick message from the Portuguese star shows that. While Pogba can now head back to United with his international break over, Fernandes has another match to play.

Portugal have an World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg to play this week, before he can return to Carrington. Pogba and Fernandes will both aim to be starters when United face Leicester on Saturday.

Messi’s Argentina Punish Uruguary To Bag More Points

0

Goals from Rodrigo De Paul and Lautaro Martinez rounded off a successful night for Lionel Scaloni’s team in Buenos Aires as they maintained their unbeaten start to the qualification campaign and closed the gap at the top of the single South American table to six points behind Brazil, who drew 0-0 with Colombia.

“We played a great match, I think we’re improving a lot”, said Messi. “It was a tough match and we had to win it”.

“Uruguay sit back and are dangerous. Once we scored the first goal we started to find spaces and many appeared”.

The first half was a classic end-to-end thriller, with both sides hitting the woodwork before Argentina opened the scoring.

Uruguay’s Luis Suárez looked lively early on and had three gilt-edged chances, all from the corner of the six yard box.

Two, including an acrobatic volley, were parried by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, while his third effort came back off the near post.

For Argentina, Giovani Lo Celso skewed wide from 10 yards and Lautaro Martinez was narrowly unable to direct De Paul’s cross on target.

Lo Celso then broke from deep and rounded goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, but his shot crashed down off the bar onto the goalline before bouncing away to safety.

Messi had a low shot from the D deflected inches past the post and then broke the deadlock in bizarre fashion.

His chip into the box with the outside of his left boot was missed by Nicolas Gonzalez, whose presence seemed to deceive Muslera, the goalkeeper also missing the ball as it nestled in the bottom corner.

Muslera flirted with disaster moments later when he dribbled past Martinez in his area, but Uruguay’s nerves were rattled and Argentina doubled their lead with another scrapy goal.

Messi’s pass was deflected into the path of Martinez whose miss-kick fell kindly for De Paul to stroke home.

Martinez then had a chance to put the game to bed in first half stoppage time, but shot straight at Muslera.

He did secure the win, though, on 62 minutes when left unmarked at the back post to tap in De Paul’s cross.

The second half did not match the thrill-a-minute first, but Argentina controlled the game.

It could have been worse for Uruguay, but Muslera made a fine double save from Angel Di Maria and Messi in the last minute.

– Neymar fails to inspire Brazil –

The returning Neymar could not inspire Brazil to victory as hosts Colombia ended their perfect start to the qualification campaign in Barraquilla.

The Selecao had won their first nine qualifiers, scoring 22 goals to lead the table by eight points before kick-off.

Coach Tite’s side are still almost certain to qualify for next year’s finals in Qatar as they maintain a 13-point lead over fifth-placed Colombia, with the top four progressing automatically.

“Neymar did well as the team’s leader”, said Tite, but “he was well marshalled” by a Colombian side that has “more technical qualities than other teams”.

Brazil started brightly and dominated the opening quarter as Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina made saves from Neymar and Lucas Paqueta.

Neymar’s cute reverse pass then put Paqueta in one-on-one with Ospina but on the stretch he poked the ball wide.

Neymar was at the heart of much of Brazil’s attacks but when he teed up a teammate on the edge of the area, it was defensive midfielder Fred who appeared on the scene, and it was no surprise to see him blaze over the bar from 18 yards.

Colombia grew more adventurous in the second half and Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker saved efforts from Mateus Uribe and Juan Quintero, while Radamel Falcao had the ball in the net 20 minutes from time, but it was disallowed for a foul on Militao.

Raphinha almost fashioned a winner for Brazil when he picked out fellow substitute Antony with a perfect in-swinging delivery, only for Ospina to make a brilliant reaction save from point-blank range.

It was a good day for the bottom two teams in the group as Bolivia beat Peru 1-0 and Venezuela defeated Ecuador 2-1.

Ramiro Vaca’s goal eight minutes from time gave Bolivia victory despite having fellow substitute Henry Vaca sent off on 75 minutes.

Goals from Darwin Machis and Eduard Bello either side of a penalty from Enner Valencia were enough to give Venezuela a rare win.

In the late match, goals from English-born Ben Brereton and Mauricio Isla gave Chile, who had Charles Aranguiz sent off, a 2-0 win over Paraguay, who had Omar Aldieret dismissed.

Signs to Tell That Your Boss Dislikes You

0

For those employed, nothing makes you uncomfortable when your boss isn’t your friend, when s/she hates you and dislikes you. You may not realize it but in this article, I explain some of the signs that can help you tell your boss hates and will never be your friend.

  1. The Death glare:

Hello, perhaps you are asking for it. Are you having an awful way of saying wrong things always? For instance, lazy employee’s slogan, “That isn’t my job”, “That’s not the way we used to do it at my former job”. such words are annoying, that is a destructive behavior which is commonly found in majority of employees and such a person cannot work with a demented boss for a long time.

2.The boss investigates on you:

Your manager will regularly ask your workmates about your daily attendance and job performance, while other colleagues in your department are not always investigated. Possibly the causes involve lack of trust, controlling or managing every department, or even psychopathic case. Nevertheless, the best solution is to approach your boss honestly and ask him / her to work together better.

3.Jealousy:

Perhaps you could be knowing more about your manager’s job better than he / she does, or you have a better looking, always dress smarter, maybe you fell in love with someone whom he / she admires and etc. Some inexperienced managers normally lack self-respect and confidence and may try to reimburse for these uncertainties by often downgrading junior’ performance.

  1. Your salary raises request denied:

Your boss might tell you that “ no salary increment for you”, it does not necessarily mean that your job reeks, maybe it’s the budget restriction, but a good boss that values your efforts will humbly explain why you will not get a salary raise soon and will estimate when he thinks you will. However, the bad manager will keep ignoring your salary raise requests, will keep promising to settle everything soon and you can’t guarantee when exactly

  1. Few responsibilities:

Responsibilities that you used to manage are now being assigned to your workmates. New ones are being given to others. To make it worse, you’re being ordered to train new employees to do your job. Oh my God What’s happening? May be the management is in the process of firing you.

  1. No promotions given:

You have done the same job for many years, you’ve shown your capabilities, you have proved to them that you’re responsible, smart and reliable person.  But unfortunately, when new opportunities come, you’re avoided. Oh my God what’s happening? Of course, your boss hates you. Or maybe he / she knows how beneficial you’re in your present job especially if you’re good at it. It’s good for the boss, but not good for your profession.

  1. You get the terrible jobs always:

You’re regular assigned low-status jobs? making coffee, cleaning the toilet, cleaning the office, making photocopies after working hours and collecting mails. When you’re told to do all the above that simply means the boss has a low attitude of your skills or he / she thinks you have nothing better to do.

  1. Mean comments:

You’re always under-looked by the boss. Of course, these poisonous insult and smirk, especially if targeted at everybody within a distance, can be a sign of a terrible manager. But if you’re the endless target of this type of verbal deliberate cruelty, you better do something to stop it, alternatively, ask the boss to stop, just quit, seek the help from HR (if this is not allowed) or persevere silently.

  1. Being ignored:

You must have realized that in most cases your boss has no time for you! Always forgotten, meetings are always cancelled, changed / postponed at the last-minute, or perhaps you don’t get any response at all. The best solution is to approach the boss in a humble manner in his / her free time and convey your matters.

Police Still Withholding 100s Of Motor Cycles Despite Museveni’s Directive

0

Hundreds of motorcycles are still parked at various police stations in the Kampala metropolitan area, two weeks after a presidential directive for the release of all motorcycles impounded for flouting curfew guidelines.

Uganda has had nighttime curfew restrictions since last year when the country announced a lockdown to control the spread of COVID-19. Although motorcycles are not allowed to operate after 6 pm, under the guidelines, many of them have often defied the directive and, have had their motorcycles impounded.

Assistant Superintendent of Police –ASP Faridah Nampiima, the traffic police spokesperson says that although these were pardoned by the president, the majority of purported owners have failed to present proof of ownership. So far, only 166 motorcycles have been given back to the owners and hundreds are still parked with no claimants.

“Those who were given back their motorcycles proved ownership. Those that are still pending at stations have failed to show proof of ownership. Once one proves ownership, he immediately gets back his motorcycle,” Nampiima said. She added that some of the motorcycles are still being held by police because they were used to commit crimes not related to curfew violations.

Daniel Juuko, a motorcyclist says that it is difficult for them to reclaim their motorcycles because the express penalty tickets against them are bigger than the amount of money they earn in a day or even a week. Juuko explains that although he earns 15,000 Shillings a day, the cheapest traffic ticket is 40,000 Shillings.

“I earn 15,000 shillings a day. But when the police arrest me twice and each time fining me 40,000 shillings, I am left with no option other than leaving the motorcycle at the police station,” Juuko said.

Sam Kayondo, another bodaboda rider says police officers threaten them by giving them EPS tickets of 100,000 Shillings and often, they resort to offering bribes of between 30,000 and 50,000 Shillings. Kayondo adds that sometimes a motorcycle can be impounded three sometimes in a single week.

CID records show 349 motorcycles were robbed at gunpoint or their owners were shot dead or stabbed to death last year.

Glovo Expands Wings Wide In Africa

0

Glovo, one of the world’s leading multi-category delivery platforms, today announced the expansion of its operations in Africa, to include Ghana and a new entry to Tunisia, bringing its current operations to a total of seven countries on the continent.

Following the expansion, an estimated 6.5 million more people will be able to access Glovo’s app across Africa, as the company continues its mission to make everything, within all towns and cities, available to everyone.

Glovo’s investment in the region to date is worth a combined total of $30M (UGX 110bn) and the company expects to invest an additional $60M (UGX 220bn) over the next 12 months to further accelerate its expansion. The company believes there are a number of key markets in Africa that are currently underserved and recognises the unique opportunity for the platform within local communities by supporting local stores and restaurants, and helping them reach new customers online.

The Glovo app is already available in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria, bringing its services to more than 40 cities, more than 300,000 users, 8,000 restaurants and 12,000 couriers. Glovo initially launched operations in Accra in Ghana earlier this year, with the city of Tema following last month and it expects to launch in Tunis in Tunisia this October.

According to the Uganda Communications Commission Q2 2021 report, 2.7 Million new mobile devices (16% growth) were added to the networks over a period of twelve months until June 2021. Additionally, an estimated 30% (approx. 810k) are accounted to be smartphones and gadgets. This growth presents a great opportunity for users to get easy access to convenience through platforms like Glovo.

Saqib Munir,  Country Manager of Glovo, said: “Africa is a key market for Glovo and with the accelerated growth of smartphone use, we couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our services in Africa.”

“Our vision is to give everyone easy access to anything in their city, and our platform enables that by connecting users, couriers and businesses, most of which are local restaurants and independent stores. We also believe there’s a huge untapped opportunity to help accelerate digitalisation of businesses as well as meet the rising demand for online shopping and deliveries. We’re looking forward to making food, groceries, pharmaceuticals and retail products available at highly affordable rates to our new users at the touch of a button.”

Following its other acquisitions earlier this year in Central and Eastern Europe, Glovo has increased its operations to 23 countries, with its presence in Africa accounting for more than 30 percent of its geographical footprint.

Glovo already has core local leadership teams in place in its established countries in Africa and the company is committed to continuing its policy to hire top local talent. During the initial phase of its new expansion, the company plans to double its number of employees and add another 200 employees across the region by the end of 2022.
