Celebrated Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has refused to proceed home without his supporters who are in police custody being released and those whose motorcycles confiscated returned to them  

Eddy Kenzo has vowed not move an inch before all his supporters get their motorcycles that have been confiscated by police. Some of Kenzo’s supporters have been detained in police cells. 

Eddy Kenzo is demanding for the immediate release of his supporters before going home. 

The BET viewer’s choice award winner jetted in today from USA where won another award of Best African Entertainer award at the 5th edition of African Entertainment Awards USA 2019 (AEUSA). 

The red carpet ceremony took place in New Jersey, USA at on Saturday Night (Sunday morning Ugandan Times). 

Kenzo floored Africa’s finest musicians; Davido, Wizkid and Diamond Platnumz who had been nominated in the same category with him.

Ministry Of Tourism And UTB Abandon Miss Tourism Phiona
As it has been the case with the past representatives who carry the Ugandan flag high out side the boarders, the Ministry of Tourism that has been organizing different beauty contests, the recent one being miss curvy which also targeted toursits.

After several weeks of negtiating andseeking for assistance, the Ugandan tourism board and the line ministry of tourism has abandoned the 2019 miss Tourism who is going to represent Uganda at the Miss Tourism International pageant in Malaysia.

However, the good Samaritan who has been good for many of the Basoga who wave the Ugandan flag high and is the speaker of the Ugandan parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has come to her rescue by securing her air tickets and all the necessary upkeep of her trip to Malaysia.

When former Miss Uganda Quin Abenankyo was seeking assistance from different government officials to secure her air tickets to China last year, many of them snubbed her requests and it was efforts from her family that saw her represent Uganda where she emerged second and was crowned miss World Africa 2018/19.

Drama As Missing Girl Is Found Bonking With Boy Friend.

A 16-year-old girl identified as Naiga Shakira who was reported missing on Sunday 22/ 09/2019 in Kawempe and a case was filled under SDREF/30/9/2019 has been found according to police.

Naiga was caught while at her boy friend’s place in Wobulenzi in Luwero district where she has been enjoying bonking sessions with him for the pas one month.

The two are already in custody at Kawempe police station for questioning over bad manners they have been doing for the past one month of hiding.

This comes at the high heels of increased crime rates in the country where people are kidnapped, killed, shot and police was tasked to revise their modus operandi by the country’s resident Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Breaking News: Over 14 Feared Dead In Buwenge Deadly Accident

At least 14 people have so far been confirmed dead in a deadly accident that happened in Walumbe village in Buwenge town council in Jinja district.

The accident involved two Tata trucks carrying sugar cane registration number UAK/344V that failed to failed to break at the hill and over turned in the middle of the road.

As two people including police were removing it out of the road, another truck also carrying sugar cane Reg No UAK996Z rammed into those that were first vehicle and all these have been confirmed dead including the driver of a police patrol van.

The bodies have been taken to Buwenge General hospital mortuary.

Three people killed in Kalilo shooting

Three people where shot dead on 20/10/2019 at 9:30pm in Kalilo trading center, Kalilo Subcounty. The deceased have been identified as Bagabo Francis said to be in his 60s, and his wives a one Nakato commonly referred to as Mulongo and Leokadia Baliwahenki.

According to sources, the three were shot from their home by yet to be identified persons, though, preliminary investigations indicate that two people; sons to the deceased are suspected to have participated in the murder. The two are Mwebaza Nathan an army deserter and Kakuru Ben a UPDF soldier.

The D-IGP Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeeyi led a team of investigators to the crime scene as part of operations to apprehend the suspects. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Lyantonde HC4 for postmortem.

Winnie Byanyima Blasts Gov’t over Gay rights Abuse:

Former Oxfam Executive Director also wife to former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye has condemned the gross increased violation of gay rights in Uganda calling it so shameful.

In a brief statement posted on her official twitter handle, Byanyima stated that gay Ugandans have equal rights like all other Ugandans, adding that assaulting them is cruel and inhuman.

Winnie Byanyima says such acts contradicts everything that our religious, culture and traditions that teach us.

Winnie’s comments follow after a Rwandan gay refugee was brutally beaten at Gay refugee care NGO office Sunday morning.

She called for authorities to intervene and make sure gay rights are observed.

Sad News: UPDF officer knocked dead by a speeding commuter taxi

A Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) officer at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel was on Sunday evening knocked by a speeding commuter taxi along Kampala- Hoima road, dying immediately.

The deceased has been identified as Lt Col Rashid Kawawa from Chieftaincy of Military Rehabilitation Center (CMRC) in Mubende district.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Sunday at Namungoona in Rubaga Division in Kampala.

Police said the Colonel had parked his car by the roadside opposite a fuel station and was crossing the road for fuel when he got knocked dead by taxi Reg No UAT 082P while he was returning to his car.

“The late was driving a motor vehicle registration number UAS 373W Toyota Premio which had run out of fuel and he parked at the roadside hence crossing to Tosha Fuel Station to pick some fuel. On returning, he was knocked,” Police said in a statement.

The taxi driver immediately abandoned the vehicle and ran. Police says his search is on.

The body has since been taken to City Mortuary at Mulago national referral hospital for postmortem.

The victim’s car and the taxi have also been towed to Kampala Police Station to aid investigations.

Bobi wine Blasts Police For Lying About Blocking His Concerts

Bobi wine has lashed at Uganda police keeping the art of lying in matters concerning blocking his concerts sighting unnecessary reasons yet the truth is hidden.

According to Bobi wine says the police are scapegoats of the regime and in his latest communication, he has called upon Ugandans to forgive the police officers engaged in blocking, arresting and mistreating him because they are just used.

At one point it was Emilian Kayima, then Fred Enanga, then Patrick Onyango! You forgive such people because they don’t know what they do.

The statement comes at the heels of a publication by BBC that quoted Museveni highlighting on why Bobi wine’s concerts have been blocked countrywide, the 75 year old president who has been in power for 33 years shifted the blame of why investors continuously snub Uganda for other countries to Bobi Wine who has been in active politics for just 3 years.

According to Museveni, government blocks Bobi wine’s concerts because he went to the US and told American investors not to invest in Uganda, so he’s an enemy to progress who can’t be allowed to enjoy Uganda’s prosperity by staging concerts.

Now that Museveni himself revealed the reasons for blocking the concerts, all police’s allegations and demands including sniffer dogs, ambulances, a single toilet for every 20 people who attend the concerts among others, police has proved to every Ugandan that they serve the interests of the regime not for Ugandans.

Ever since Bobi wine declared is interests to challenge Museveni in the 2021 elections, police has blocked 156 concerts in Uganda and he last staged a concert last years in November.

Horror As City Tycoon is Gunned Down in Kampala

Ali Abdu Zabar has been reportedly gunned down in a private hospital where he had visited his wife after giving birth.

According to police, its reported that around 10:45am today Saturday a one Zaina Karama who was playing with Zabar’s pistol shot him in the VIP section of Kampala Independent Hospital on Nalya Road in Ntinda,

Karama who happens to be a cousin to Zabar’s Wife collapsed and was admitted after becoming unconscious following the ugly incident.

According to Luke Oweyesigire, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the deceased was shot in the chest but efforts to save him failed.

“The gun was owned by the deceased. It was picked by the suspect (Karama) who started playing with it. The deceased withdraw the gun from her and removed the magazine then handed the gun back to her. She again played with the gun and pointed it at him and when she pulled the trigger, a bullet was discharged and hit the deceased in the chest,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Owoyesigyire said on Saturday.

ASP Owoyesigyire added that the suspect and deceased didn’t know that a bullet had already entered the gun chamber.

Wreckage of the Truck that failed to break

Disturbing news reaching ultimate indicate that an un-identified woman has been killed by a truck that failed to break this morning in Kampala.

According to eye witnesses, the water Truck failed to break, rammed and knocked a boda boda, forcing the scared woman passenger to jump off falling into it’s way.

Upon falling in it’s way while ramming, the woman was crashed in a terrible manner. By the time of filling this story, police had not given an official statement about the accident
