The name Specioza Wandera Kazibwe sounds too familiar to the league of the 90s and early 2000s but the new generation probably just read about her in history. She was the first Vice president in Africa and the sixth Vice President of Uganda from 1994 to 2003 for a good 10 years.

Appointed by president Museveni and trusted with the opportunity to serve her country, Kazibwe was an outspoken politician who called a spade a spade not a big spoon. This character continues to follow her even when she’s not in active politics.

In present day world, we’ve seen women doing all they can to change their bodies both in shape, skin color and appearance. Some bleach to look like Europeans or Asians while others wear, go for surgery to grow huge bums which is commonly called NYASH.

Speaking at the burial of former minister, educationist and politician Joyce Mpanga who passed on last week, Kazibwe threw jibes and criticism to Ugandan female leaders who are not confident with the body that God gave them and up rushing for creams (ekizigo) to bleach their skins.

“This is a generation where we are seeing women in high leadership positions, cooking their own bodies, we never cooked ourselves in our time,,,we feel very bad. How can you be a leader of the Africans if you are not a proud African?”-Kazibwe questioned.

Much as she didn’t mention names, Kazibwe really wondered about he breed of female leaders of this modern day Uganda and that of her time.

“When you look at all those women, they handed over leadership to us and tasked us to believe in who we are as African women because we are the custodians of the culture of the Afrian people, none of those women i mentioned ever breached their bodies. Pulma was a light skinned woman in the way that God created her, and Joyce was black beauty in her own respect and whenever i was with her, our skins glowed like a young millipede. I have served in the African Union, in peace and security…now I am about culture. If you out there and you have cooked your body, i will tell you directly that you need to go and uncook it”- Kazibwe remarked.

If you cooked (breached) your skin, the former Vice President is here advising you to go unbreach it to look purely African
