Police in the western district of Kagadi is holding a 23-year-old man for allegedly hitting his wife to death in a domestic fight stemming from failure to pick up a phone call from his side chick.
According to Frugence Kahiira the LC chairperson of Karuswuga Central Cell in Muhoro Town Council identified the deceased as Omuhereza Katwesigye, a resident of the same area, he further says the suspect hit his wife with a hand hoe during the fight which claimed her life.
Police said the couple allegedly had several misunderstandings mixed with adultery and infederity and prior to the fight, the suspect refused to pick a phone call from his side chic who was caling prompting his wife to react which he resisted by ending her life
According to police spokesperson of Albertine region Mr Julius Hakisa, postmortem has been done, crime scene visited by detectives and the suspect will be charged as soon as the investigations are done
