In the news this morning, Hon Onapito Ekomoloit has died this morning according to reports. The news of his passing on was first shared by NRM’s Vice Chairperson Eastern Mike Mukula.
Ekomoloit is the former Member of parliament for Amuria county, he’s a veteran journalist and was once president Museveni’s Press secretary. He was also a legal and corporate affairs director and he was last year appointed as the board chair at Nile breweries and a business man.

Onapito was also once a university lecturer and member on boards of several companies not only at Nile breweries but at the MTN Uganda foundation board of trustees among others. The cause of his death has not been revealed yet.

Colleagues and friends have mourned Onapito including the Speaker of parliament who have described him as a humble and honest man who contributed greatly to the corporate word, the political arena and the media industry.
