Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba, Museveni’s son was in the news for the controversy on his twitter account, his birthday celebrations that spread across the country, his open support for the M23 rebels in Eastern Congo and bashing of his father’s NRM party which he said it no longer represents people’s interests.
Now in 2023, his presidential ambitions continue rolling heads not only in the political corridors but also on the pulpit with some pastors openly endorsing his presidency particularly pastor Aloysius Bugngo of the Makerere Kikoni- based House of Prayer Ministries.

In a video making rounds on social media, you may think he was telling president Museveni but he has told off Ugandans that as soon as president Museveni retires, Muhoozi will be president by hook or crook.
According to Bugingo, president Museveni can lead as much as he wants but he should put it mind and be prepared to be replaced by his own son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who hinted on launching his own political party soon despite being a serving military officer.
In the video, Bujjingo says that he still supports president Museveni but he can’t deny supporting Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
“Your excellency the president of Uganda, don’t be deceived that i stopped supporting you and started supporting Muhoozi, if i tell you that i don’t support Muhoozi, i would be a rascal. Rule and retire whenever you want but Muhoozi will replace you”- says Bujjingo
