However, men in Bukomasimbi are in the news after their member of parliament Hon Kayemba Solo delivered their complaint on the floor of parliament which is turning out to be a matter of national importance.
According to Kayemba Solo, his electorates complained of how National Medical Stores (NMS) had delivered small sized condoms which couldn’t fit on their mega whoopers and in the end, these were burnt to since they were useless.
“I got a complaint that they brought condoms of small sizes which could not fit users. At the end of the day, they didn’t use them; they burnt them & I am sure some people lost their lives.”-Hon Kayemba told parliament.
This has dominated discussions with some other people adding to this voice that indeed some condoms are supplied in small sizes and this leaves out no means of people safeguarding themselves and end up taking risks.
In 2019, the then minister of Primary Health Care and Tororo women representative Sarah Opendi send shockwaves to Ugandans after she revealed that whoever used lifeguard condoms should get tested and two batches were released to the market before being approved.
Hon.@KayembaSolo(Bukomansimbi South) says NMS supplied small-sized condoms in his area.
