Sometimes you may wonder why marriage is so important, especially when many people prefer live-in relationships these days. Marriage is the union of two people in love, looking for companionship. It is a legal commitment that has familial, social, and economic implications. This is the declaration of your love and devotion to your partner and affirms lifelong commitment in front of near and dear ones.

In addition, many believe that communities get better when people enter into marriage and stay together. In this post, we discuss the importance of marriage and its benefits to partners and society as a whole.

Earlier this year a mam namely Dominic Olando from Kisumu County caused a stir on social media when he married his two wives on the same day. The traditional wedding where the brides wore white gowns, has left many wondering how such a marriage came to be.

In a traditional setting, 30-year-old Dominic would be said to have achieved the highest status in society but in a capitalist society however, he has become a topic of intense debate. Meet Dominic’s two wives; 25-year-old Daisy who is the first wife and 24-year-old Joan who is the second wife.

Tom has built each one of them a house in Nyamasaria, Kisumu County. Whatever is in Daisy’s house is also found in Joan’s house.

“I sleep in the house I feel like,” says Olando

Interestingly, like a hunter in the wild, Olando met his two wives after he used marriage spells from Dr Mugwenu. He says he met this herbal man online via a blog spot www.mugwenudoctors.com. He said the marriage attraction spells made him land to two beautiful women who madly loved him. He made the tough choice of marrying them all together after they all agreed.  Explaining to friends why he wanted to have a wedding with two brides on the same day, Tom says was tough but luckily his family was understanding enough.

His first wife, Daisy however says she hails from a polygamous home and she is the first born of a second wife. As for Olando, it is a big family of seven, as the two wives also have two children each.

“Happy wives mean a happy life,” said Mr. Olando.

Olando now says that matters of the heart are very delicate and with love comes responsibilities but the three of them have opted to undertake very diligently despite its own challenges.
