Yesterday we reported that Police to prove to President Museveni that it’s a hard working institution summoned several people, these included late Oulanyah’s mother-in-law also Aruu South legislator Santa Okot, Kilak south MP Gilbert Oulanyah, NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, former Minister Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi and late Oulanyah’s father Mzee Nathan Lo’kori. According to Police’s Spokespoerson Fred Enanga those summoned will appear before the CID headquarters in Kibuli with evidence to prove that indeed Jacob Oulanyah was poisoned contrary to government’s position that the late speaker succumbed to cancer and related complications.

However, this didn’t go well with many people among these is Information minister Dr Chris Baryomunsi who says Oulanyah’s father needs comfort not summons and since Mzee Nathan L’okori claims his son told him about the poison claims, police may end up summoning the dead speaker to prove he was poisoned.

” Police should be professional in the way they do their work. Jacob Oulanyah’s father needs counselling to come to terms with the loss of his son, not police summons. At this rate, [police spokesperson] Fred Enanga may end up summoning Jacob Oulanyah [from the grave]” ICT and national guidance minister, Dr Chris Baryomunsi.

  1. Interesting. There is a saying in Ugandan culture that ” o’ mukungi tomulola omumunwa”. Meaning ……let the genius Ugandans translate. I think Hon Baryomunsi has already done it.
