Singer Catherine Kusasira is regretting why she decided to join Museveni’s NRM party which she says is full of unfairness and she’s contemplating on quitting due to what she has gone through while serving as the presidential advisor on Ghetto issues along side singer Mark Bugembe alias Butcherman.
In 2019, Museveni recruited several musicians to drum up support for his 2021 presidential bid. Among those recruited as advisors were vulgar queen Janepher Nakangubi alias Full figure, Ashburg Kato, Butchaman, Bajjo events among others.
However, most of the recruits have always castigated NRM of having mafias who prevent them from accessing the president whenever they wish since they are presidential advisors.
It has emerged that their duty was to counter fast rising People power which bred into a political party dubbed National Unity Platform, once the elections were done. They were rendered useless and had no other option but to keep around for any gig that NRM puts on table. Reports from some corridors of power also suggest singer Moses Ssali alias Bebecool was the first one to throw in the towel after being blocked from accessing state house.
Now seems the tables are turning after Catherine Kusasira came up in a long Facebook post to pour out her disappointment in president Museveni and all the people surrounding him. Kusasira says she has picked loans, lost property just in the name of neutralizing Bobi Wine’s pressure group National Unity platform but she has gained nothing from NRM.
“I really sacrificed alot during the last campaigns where I even went for bank loans and started projects as a way of motivating the youths as a tactic of fighting the pressure group that had arose(NUP).Why NRM..I have lost alot because of you.. business..friends and fans bkoz of choosing you as my party”- writes Kusasira.
She also further says these mafias surrounding president Museveni will be the cause of his downfall soon because they have made NRM a disgrace. The singer last year during an interval said she takes Museveni as her God but now seems all that is gone as she chokes on debts.
“I have never been rewarded and appreciated for the strength and commitment I showed during that time..but instead lost everything I had before..lwaki NRM you such a disgrace to me and to us who sacrificed everything bkoz of you.. ..president MUSEVENI bangi sibaano.. those you trust wil be the lead in your downfall”- Recounts Kusasira.
