Lumbuye Set to Be Released from Prison Today

Kyadondo East legislator and shadow minister for foreign affairs Muwada Nkunyingi has revealed that NUP leaning Turkey based blogger Fred Kajubi Lumbuye is set to be conditionally released from prison today where he’s been detained for the close to three months.

On the eve of 04th August this year, news started making rounds that self-proclaimed prophetic blogger Lumbuye had been detained in Turkey and was set to be deported to Uganda to face charges of announcing Museveni dead.

It was further confirmed by state Minister for foreign affairs Okello Oryem that indeed flights had even been booked to bring Lumbuye home. This later proved that the junior minister was instead chasing shadows after it was later discovered that Lumbuye had not been deported to Uganda and Uganda was just in talks with Turkey to have Lumbuye to their hands.

National unity Platform launched fundraising drives from home and in the diaspora chapters to raise money for the legal process in Turkey and close to $70,000 was raised to save Lumbuye from rotting in Jail.

Muwada Nkunyingi would later locate and reveal that Lumbuye was being held at a detention facility Kocaeli Foreigners Detention Centre in Turkey over expired stay centrally to reports that it’s government of Uganda that had arrested him over his continued outbursts to Museveni’s government.

In a midnight post on his facebook page, Nkunyinji has brought the hope alive to the Lumbuye fanatics that the legal team in Turkey revealed to him that their blogger will be today released conditionally.

“The Legal Team in Turkey Confirmed to us that Turkish Authorities Notified them LUMBUYE FRED would be “conditionally” released today as all key legal applications were concluded. Certainly he will narrate the details himself at the appropriate time. Our legal team remain Committed to promptly follow up all due processes. Thank you all for the Perseverance. Freedom shall be the ultimate result.”- Muwada posted
