Former principal accountant at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) during Mbabazi’s regime Geofrey Kazinda has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for corruption even after serving 8 years in jail over the same cases.
The Anti-corruption had initially sentenced him in 2013 after it was discovered billions of shillings were siphoned from the OPM and he was found with several in his custody regarding the same after being arrested in 2012.
Eight years the road, Justice Tibulya has convicted Kazinda to 15 years after finding him guilty on three counts of forgery, illicit wealth, and financial loss. According to the Anti-Corruption Court Act, that all properties of the convict are to be confiscated.
