The National Unity Platform (NUP) has today unveiled the Campaign portrait for the party’s presidential aspirant Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi wine who is the current legislator for Kyadondo East in the 10th parliament.
This comes at the highs and lows of the party’s preparation for the 2021 general elections where he’s set to challenge president Museveni’s bid to extend his rule to 40 years and challenging the status quo.
Kyagulanyi is awaiting nomination next week on 3rd November 2020 as electoral commission sorts out the verification of the endorsement signatures he submitted last week.
By yesterday, Electoral commission had only out of the 22 aspirants verified signatures of 4 candidates including Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni (NRM), Henry Tumukunde (Ind), Nancy Kalembe (Ind) and Fred Mwesigye who is also Independent.
The other prominent candidates awaiting verification include FDC’s Patrick Oboi Amuriat (POA), A.N.T’s Gen Mugisha Muntu Gregory and Joseph Kabuleta who is vying on independent ticket.
