JINJA: Following news of a security guard known as Corporal Tanga George who was hacked to death by a street kid he had arrested from Kaziminji a Jinja surburb on grounds that the minor had stolen iron bars, the Jinja RDC has given tough orders to police.
Being the head of Security in the district, Jinja Residential District Commissioner Eric Sakwa has issued a shoot to kill order to police on street kids who are found misbehaving and carrying killer objects like pangas and guns.
While commenting on the incident of Tanga’s death who succumbed to injuries today early morning at Jinja main hospital, Eric Sakwa expresses his interest to draft a by-law that will allow them kill the errant street kids who have become a menace in Jinja town.
This is not the first time Sakwa gives the shoot to kill orders, on 19th August 2019 following the murder of a one Sadat Wandera a resident of Kitovu vilage- Mafubira sub-county was killed and robbed of his Boda boda, the same RDC gave thesame bizzare order of shooting to kill any one caught red-handed stealing Boda bodas.
The arrogant RDC also blamed NGOs that facilitate street kids and as leaders they can’t just look on as Jinja city becomes the hub of errant street kids in the city and a by-law will be tabled soon.
